Unforgiven. 8/10. It was ok, but I was expecting a little bit more. Clint Eastwood was great, but I don't think it should have gotten Best Picture.

Avatar - 1.5/5 - Visually impressive, had it's moments but overall dumb!

Gran Torino, totally unrealistic and eastwood is a joke but still the movie pulled me in 6.5/10

Smart, funny, witty, and touching in parts. Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin are hilarious together. Steve Martin was funny too. Just great !!
Really? 10/10? I think you're being way to generous.
I don't. I laughed consistently and hilariously throughout the movie. The whole scene in the hotel with Harley and the doctor almost made me pee myself. I thought it was fantastic. Just my opinion :D

Inglorious Basterds 7/10

I was hoping for more pointless violence, being that it's a Quentin Tarantino film, but it was still alright.

District 9- 9/10 heard horrible things about this movie, I loved it though. The jumping around did hurt it bit

Invictus- 9/10

Great fucking movie, just finished up reading playing the enemey and was not disappointed in the movie one it one bit. Morgan freeman nailed it like he does pretty much almost every movie. The music however was shite

Carlito's Way - 3/10

The drama element made it so fuckin' unwatchable. You have Pacino, who doesn't even look remotely Latin, acting as a Latin dude (something he has accomplished in Scarface but not in this movie). Twas too long, the action was too short.

Tony Montana > Charlie Brigante

Doubt: Best movie I've seen in awhile. I can't really remember seeing a movie as perfectly cast as this one was. Meryl Streep was amazing, as was Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I concur. Too much dialogue & not enough payoff. Deathproof was the same way. The good parts were really good, but at 2 1/2 hours, my action-junkie ass got impatient waiting for something to happen

Night At The Museum 2 - 7/10

Not quite the surprise the first film was. But still a decent viewing. Granted there were plot holes you could drive a Sherman tank through. Amy Adams is HOT as Amelia Earhart.

American History X

Saw it for the first time last night. When Edward Norton is on he is ON. Never knew that re-cut the film himself and the director tried to sue the film company for like 200 million. Anways, it was a fantastic film and really shows how extreme racial tension can get.

Are you saying a movie about ancient artifacts coming to life every night may have some reality issues?

The Hangover. Was stupid but funny. Made me laugh and I didn't get bored so it did the job. Doubt I'd watch again but I enjoyed it. Kind of like a less stoned Dude Where's my Car without the catchphrase.

6.5/10 it was fun but with such a great cast could have been much better

You got that fucking right, pal.

The Promotion

I put this movie in my Netflix queue based on an Enuff Z'nuff song being in the trailer. Also, Jenna Fischer's in it and she's really hot.

It's really funny! It kinda peters out towards the end but the first 3/4 is real strong

8/10

The last movie I saw was Precious. 8/10

I was too disturbed to finish my $6 small popcorn and my $5.75 small coke.

Hell yes. I expected at least some sort of feel-good ending. I wound up depressed as all hell, but the acting was outstanding, especially Mo'Nique.

Dear Zachary 9/10

I watched this one based on Ace's recommendation in the documentary thread, and he wasn't lying. If you don't get pissed off and emotionally moved by this movie, then go slam your face into a wall repeatedly until you cease to exist.

The Princess and The Frog.

4/10. Lame. Felt like Disney just wanted an excuse to have a black "princess". I was unimpressed.

S (it was the 3 yr old's first theatre movie - general experience was about 10/10 for the cuteness factor of the kid)

Jennifer's Body

Wasn't planning on ever watching this, cause I thought it would suck, but they had it in at work so I figured I'd give it a shot. Wasn't nearly as terrible as I thought it would be. It was kinda like an unfunny version of Idle Hands... sorta. It kept me pretty entertained for an hour and a half so I can't complain really.

District 9 - 10/10

Just awesome. Simply awesome. It's like a tender gore movie with a brilliant storyline and lively visuals that at times may cram but then is evenly balanced.

It's also a movie that I won't watch twice since there are still gaps to be filled. Would that prawn really come back for him? What if they did come back, would they wage war against the humans? It needs a sequel.
