Exit Through The Gift Shop - 10/10

Incredible film. It poses the age old question "But is it art?" and responds in a very clever way at the expense and wallets of the unwitting, trend hungry public as well as all the phony art snobs who have more money than common sense.

If tits were Picasso, it's probably still something Drops Of Jupiter wouldn't get.

If you've ever wondered how much you could get for that masking tape and shoe polish covered 20/20 bottle filled with the piss of a seeing eye dog and a single dandelion to some stupid art major whose couch you once crashed on, this movies for you.

The Town Extended - 5/10 - Overall it was ok but the action was mediocre and the drama was mediocre.

And how did you never see Midnite Run before? It's probably only second to Beastmaster in the 'most overplayed movie ever' department. Fucker was on TV for years straight.

Outrage (2010) - 8/10 - Pretty badass Yakuza movie. It's no Godfather or Casino but I highly recommend it to anyone who's into gangster movies.

Dumb & Dumber - 8/10.
Yep, first time I've seen it all the way through.

The Descent 2 - 7/10
Considering it went straight (I think) to DVD, it was a pretty good sequel.

I watched a half hour of Grown Ups last night and went to bed convinced that Sandler can put together 90 minutes of he and his friends making armpit fart noises and people will go see it.

The Expendables 6/10

I was expecting this to be much better than it was. The action scenes were mostly shot at night so they were too dark to see and the plot was kind of just stuck together. The last Rambo movie was far superior.

True Grit - 7.5/10: Solid performances throughout, but the slow pace it started with never really seemed to pick up for me. Jeff Bridges is great, but coming off Crazy Heart, seemed too similar to that drunk character - speech and all.

The Town - 9/10: Surprised how much I enjoyed this film. When you find yourself rooting for a bank robbing, gun toting, sack of shit with a so-called heart of gold? It's a pretty good story. Well acted and directed by Mr. Affleck, and Jeremy Renner was good too. Oh, and Blake Lively is hot.

The Fighter - 8/10: Mark Wahlberg back in his Funky Bunch muscle shape. But as good as he is, and as good as this movie was, this is practically Christian Bale's movie. Supporting actor nod should be a given.

Tron: Legacy (in 3D)

8/10 I was surprised at how much I liked it. I thought I was going to completely hate it. Great effects, including Jeff Bridges being CGI-altered to look like he did 25 years ago.

Easy A- 9/10

I'm shocked at how much I liked this movie. I had heard good things, but still couldn't bring myself to think it would be THAT good. I expected it to be a typical PG-13 teen comedy, but I was totally wrong. it was a genuinely funny, well made movie with heart. Emma Stone played the lead role perfectly. The banter between her and her parents (neither of which I don't think I've seen before, but they were terrific) was a riot. This is definitely one I'll watch again, maybe even a few times.

I also saw this over the weekend and loved it. It was really well done. I agree the banter with the parents was excellent. Her dad was played by Stanley Tucci. He's been in a ton of stuff. Was up for an Oscar for playing the creep in The Lovely Bones. Not sure who the mom was. But yes, great movie.
