Are you serious? You see the kid's bare, penis-less pubis with a big scar. How was that not clear?
well, i saw a vagina and a scar, and i just tought that the girl became a vampire cuz she received a bite down there. :(

Liked it a lot even though I was dreading the US remake because I liked the original so much. Still could have done without a few things where they had to spell things out/dumb it down for US audiences.
I didn't like how "Abby" was shown when she was vamping out. I actually thought they never should have shown her in feeding mode except in the shadows. I also didn't think the pool scene was NEARLY as amazing as in Let the Right One In.

But there are some things I liked better. I loved Richard Jenkins. He is an amazing actor. I was initially bummed that they pussed out on the pervo stuff but in the end, I like the Let Me In presentation a lot more. I also thought the kid, "Owen," was fantastic. Just perfect casting. And Chloe Moretz is obviously very talented.

I just think the story would have been better served if it was a little more subtle. It's not a hugely in-your-face movie but there shouldn't have even been a contact lens budget.
Overall, pretty much along the same lines as my thoughts on the movie.

Nope. No vagina either.

To be fair, the shot of the crotch is pretty short. And if you're like me you spend most of it going "GAH, WTF MAN!" because you think they just tried to show you a kids vagina.

And "I'm not a girl" could mean easily mean "I'm not a girl, because I'm not human". Or "I'm not a girl because I'm, like, super old".

I didn't get the whole castrated thing from watching the movie, myself.

Yeah, I had a little bit of that but something seemed off so I went back and looked closer. I don't know what a kid's vagina looks like but there was something weird going on.

Also, it's foreign art film and all that but there's still no way they're going to pan down and show a little kid's vagoo.

It did look strange, but I figured it was just a shitty fake vagina to get around that whole naked kid thing. I guess I just didn't give their makeup team enough credit.

"Extract" - 8/10. Thought it was a lot better than "Office Space" or "Idiocracy". Not even a Gene Simmons cameo could ruin it.

Ill be honest when I first saw let the right one in I didnt pick up at all that eli's dink was cut off. When I read the book I was like "ahhhh so they didnt show me kid bush, thats good I guess, this all makes sense"

I feel really stupid now, because while it was subtle alluding to eli's gender, the scar clearly was not pubic hair.

BTW the remake pisses me off because it kind of leaves you with the impression oscar will become like haki

Thor-6.5/10
Pirates-7.5/10
Fast Five-5/10

I'm glad they made the changes for the remake. In the deleted scenes, it shows Abby getting bit, hundreds of years ago, and she is clearly a SHE.

equally pleased that they changed the pedophile angle.

I don't think I wanna see the original now.

"Hereafter"
4/10 - I was hoping that this would be one of those end of the world/disaster flicks. sadly disappointed.

"The Roommate"
5/10 - aside from a few tense moments, and the hot-ass chicks, the film wasn't all that.

"Paranormal Activity 2"
7/10 - loved how they tied this in with the first one. equally, if not more, effective as the first one.

I heard there will be a "Paranormal Activity 3". :)

MIdnight In Paris: 8/10

Woody Allen's new movie, getting a wider release this weekend, really good story and Owen Wilson is great as the Woody character. A couple of funny one-liners and some beautiful shots of Paris, all around excellent movie. But if you're like me and not well-versed in the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Luis Bunuel, and Gertrude Stein, be prepared to have a bunch of references go straight over your head.

Burlesque(2010) Cher/Christina aguilera, pretty bad movie the only good thing is Kristen Bell in all those skimpy outfits  4/10

Christina is just awful as an actress and her singing is just very hard to enjoy shes always forcing her voice to the max and trying to show of she really has good pipes its just annoying

Magnolia. 5/10. Too long. Some good parts, but it could have been shorter.

Also, I can't take John C. Reilly seriously after Talladega Nights, so all of his scenes were uncomfortable to watch.

The Men Who Stare At Goats (2009) - 10/10. What a fucking trip of a movie! 8)

Be Kind, Rewind (2008) - 7/10. Starts as a very clever comedy but ends like a cheesy drama :?

The Hangover 2 (2011) - 9/10. Really keeps with the original :)

Time Bandits - 10/10 - Still a great fucking film. The Robin Hood scene where the poor line and get punched in the face after they receive their goods destroys me every time.

Is that really necessary? I'm afraid it is sir.......

Candy (2006) - 7.5/10.
It was your typical "I was a deadbeat artist, I did heroin, it fucked up my life, and I regret it" story, but the couple's relationship was interesting enough to keep my attention, there were a few little twists I didn't see coming, and some of the shots were just very pretty to look at.

Jackass 3 (2010) - 6/10. Had some funny moments, the giant hand knocking the crap out of unsuspecting people walking into the breakroom was entertaining..but the least enjoyable in the series imo. The poo volcano was a new twist.

Finale (2009) 5/10 "the collector" - a demon - shows up at 10:28 every night using any reflective surface. yeah, i thought "Mirrors" at first too. woefully underdeveloped plot. it really just didn't make you give a damn about much of it until the last 10 minutes or so. but something did blow up good so it wasn't a total waste. i think with a more experienced direction and production staff, it could have been really good.
