I really fucking liked this movie! I knew I really liked it when it was over and I felt like I wanted to keep on hanging out with the three main characters. Also, you can't go wrong with Isiah Whitlock, Jr. (Clay Davis from 'The Wire') talking about 'The Wire' during the movie.

Daybreakers 7.5/10 a nice change of pace from the garden-variety vampire movie.

7/10. It was kind of silly, but I liked it. The cartoonishness of it was cool. I loved the bright blue and pink costumes and sets, too.

This was a blind buy for me. It wasn't bad. I kinda saw the "twist" coming but it didn't ruin it for me. Good action, decent performances.

Definitely not what I initially expected. I love Edward Norton but he doesn't do the hick thing well at all. 6.5/10

Had a little drooling over Amber Heard party with myself yesterday. Watched And Soon The Darkness (4/10), Never Back Down (5/10), and Drive Angry (6/10). Not many more and I've seen every crappy thing she's ever been in.
I thought her claim to fame was the classic The Chase.caroline wrote:This one stars Kristy Swanson, who some may remember as the original Buffy.

It's pretty much trash. Unless you're lesbian or a Henry Rollins fan, you're not missing shit.

I'd say it's worth the rental if you have Netflix. She looked pretty hot in it. Rollins was entertaining. The dudes from the RHCP made an appearance too and they were smoking whatever Sheen is these days.caroline wrote:So it appears. Last House On A Dead End Street (1977) - Watched this after I read about it's snuff film notoriety. Decent concept - the easiest way to make the footage look authentic is to kill people for real. Pretty good death scenes and tortue given it's non budget. First half is slow, but it kicks into gear. Grainy, dark and sometimes creepy. - 7/10. Followed this one up with..
Bloodsucking Freaks (1976) - Exploitation at it's finest. Ralphus and Sardu could have easily starred in any John Waters movie. 10/10

Celtic Pride. Starring: Damon Wayans, Dan Akroyd, and Daniel Stern (1996). 6/10. I thought it sucked when it first came out, but it was a little funnier this time. Daniel Stern was pretty funny in it. The whole "fan" thing was kind of funny.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Recently I've been reading reviews from Rotten Tomatoes to figure out what movies to watch, and more often than not, I've disagreed with the critics' opinions. Most of what I've tried because of this thread has been gold, though.
For example, just watched Red, White and Blue after reading peoples' comments about it.
I'd call it a solid 8/10.
It was a very pleasant surprise. The beginning was pretty cliche, but the way the stories tied together was refreshing. I'm still not sure who I feel the most sorry for, and it's been a long time since I've felt that conflicted about characters from a movie.

Artie Lange, Jack and Coke (2009) - liked him a lot on Stern and in Beer League, but this one wasn't funny. 2/10. It's the Whiskey Talking was a lot better...he looked and sounded drunk and was great.

According To Greta - 7/10. Very touching, thought-provoking stuff, as usual with Hilary Duff movies.
The Stepfather (2009) - 5/10. Amber Heard was hot in it.
Hollywood & Wine - 3/10. Pamela Anderson cameo, everything else was shit.
The Happening - 5/10. It just happened.

Marwencol - 8/10. It's a documentary about a guy who gets severe trauma and creates and alternate world using dolls as a form of therapy; he also likes to wear women's shoes. I actually haven't finished it yet, but so far i really like it.

Fairy Tales (1978 ) - 5/10.
The 5 is for the 5lbs of 70's bush that is on screen. An "erotic musical" that you might typically see late night when HBO or Showtime first started. Dumb, but lots of nudity. One of Linnea Quigley's first roles and she definitely got better looking in the 80's.
