Hugo - 10/10: I walked into the movie not knowing anything about the plot, just going to see what a Martin Scorsese family oriented movie would be like. I totally didnt expect it to be a movie for people who love film, and thats what it was. At first, you think its an average childrens fantasy movie, but after you find out what it is really about, if you are a dork when it comes to film, you cant help but love it.

Revolver. 8/10. Not what I expected out of Guy Ritchie, but still awesome. Possibly my favorite film about chess.

Hit Redbox yesterday and these are what I got.
Attack the Block - Bristish movie about aliens that attack a bad neighborhood. Not great, but not bad. 7/10
Trespass - Nic Cage just sucks. 4/10
Sarah's Key - If you want to see a depressing holocaust movie this is the newest one. Pretty good though. 7.5/10
Horrible Bosses - I liked it. Thought it was funny. 8/10

Fuck. That was brutal. I'm not sure I'd enjoy watching that kind of torture though. The reason I liked the torture in I Spit On Your Grave was because those dudes deserved it.holeripper wrote:Indy_Rob wrote:Nope, can't say I have. Got any suggestions?holeripper wrote:
You've obviously never watched any Japanese horror.
Personally, I'd start off with Grotesque. It makes I Spit On Your Grave look like a walk in the park. If you can't find it let me know and I'll send you the link to download it.
Here's the trailer.

No Escape. (1994) starring Ray Liotta, Lance Hendrickson, and Kevin Dillion. 7.5/10.
Saw this in theaters too. Seriously, Ray Liotta is so badass in this movie. It's funny, though, a prision on this nice-looking island where they are just free to walk around...kind of unbelievable.

The Muppets- 7/10. About what I expected. Solid job by Segel and co.; some very good, very Muppets gags. That one song sounded so Flight of the Conchords.
The Great Muppet Caper- 7/10. Not as good as the first one from '79, but lots of laughs.

Mad Max - 8
The second one is better. One of those rare occurrences where the sequel is better than the original.

Killshot 5/10
Mickey Rourke as a hit man I don't have a problem with. But when he's supposed to be a Native American it doesn't quite work no matter how much fake tan he had on.
Tron Legacy 2/10.
The most boring thing I've watched since Matrix 2.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011). Awesome. 9.5/10. I'll remove a 1/2 point for the opening credits. Although cool, I cannot figure out what they have to do with the movie. Great acting. Better than the original version in my opinion.

Following - 7/10. Shorter film by Chris Nolan, a lot like Memento, with a cool twist ay the end.
The Game - 8/10. I love all of Fincher's movies, this one was a bit different, but it was still awesome.
Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind - 9/10. I usually hate Jim Carrey, but this movie was unlike any movie I've seen in a long time.

Awesome movie. It covers the last 12 days of Hitler and the war in Berlin. 2.5 hours but didn't feel like it.

Another 48 Hours (1990). Starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. 7/10.
Nick Nolte was awesome in this. Actually, he is pretty much awesome in everything. Eddie Murphy was kind of "eh".

I watched this last night - really good sequel. The biker angle was cool and I liked Brion James as the good/bad guy - he was always good in that kind of role.Trist805 wrote:Another 48 Hours (1990). Starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. 7/10.
