Bighole wrote:"Behind the Candelabra" about Liberace. Honest, interesting. Crazy set decorations, costumes. Rob Lowe is still a real nice slab of man meat. 6/10
That fucking movie rules. Should be a future midnight showing only, cult classic ala Pink Flamingos, Eraserhead and Rocky Horror.

Old Stock - 8/10. Dude gets into a car crash on prom night and cripples a girl. He decides to give up on life, and move into a retirement home. I didn't know anyone in the film. There's no groundbreaking work, but it was a good story, something different.

John, all the peeps would have to show up at the movie theatre dressed like teh_gheys! Or they could be his mum with the grey hair and black glasses. heh
V/H/S/2: 8.5 outta 10...just for the 3rd segment "Safe Haven" alone. One of the most "WTF"? things I have seen in awhile. Awesome.
Otherwise:
First segment "Phase I Clinical Trials" was kinda *meh*, but the chick had pretty great tits.
Segment 2 "A Ride in the Park" was pretty awesome and fun.
But, the 4th segment "Slumber Party Alien Abduction" pretty much sucked.
The surrounding "Narrative" parts were decent, but the finale was pretty awesome.

Body Parts (1991) - 7/10. Forgot how good this was back in the day. Jeff Fahey going bezerk after he gets an arm transplanted from a death row inmate. Pretty decent gore too.
Wolf of Wall Street 8/10 Great movie; not the masterpiece everyone is proclaiming it to be. Hard to enjoy because Leo was so repugnant, but he was merely reflecting the character.
Platoon - 10/10
What a great movie, still to this day. Junior was such a well played worthless coon and Matt Dillon's bro was the prototypical white trash redneck. Anything with Keith David I'll give a shot no matter what. 'Nam movies rule.
elysium - 6. This was okay but I was expecting better.
We're the miilars - 6. Again was expecting better. The best parts were in the trailers.
Jack the Giant Slayer - 6. Not bad for a kids film.
Pacific Rim - 7. Dumb fun movie. We're being invaded by monsters so we're going to create Robots to punch them. Ridiculous when they found out they had a sword half way through. Could have been handy earlier in the film instead of just punching the monsters. And why not put hose guns on the walls. Or on tanks. Or on planes.
Rush - 8. Very good. Not a big F1 fan but this was well done and afterwards I watched the documentaries on this rivalry. Great stuff.

Devils Due: 2/10
I would have actually preferred watching 90 minutes of just the Devil Baby terrorizing people along the streets of New York. That marketing campaign was brilliant, and I knew the movie was never gonna match that. The movie adds nothing that the 15 other paranormal activity movies already did, anyway.
Yorgi: Now that buisness is finished, We party. Kolya!!!
This is the end (2013) Had huge expectations for this one with a cast including Franco,Hill, Rogen, Baruchel, Mcbride, Robinson, Cera, Mintz-Plasse, Rudd,Tatum, Emma watson and Rihanna
Not a single laugh 5/10
They say all good boys go to heaven
But bad boys bring heaven to you
This is the end - 6/10. Maybe 2 humorous moments, other than that pretty bad.
You're Next - 5/10. I love these types of movies, but this one suck. The Kids looked as old as the dad, such bad casting. Some awful death scenes and just stupid predictable plot.
The Spectacular Now - 1/10. Should be the Spectacular waste of 1 1/2 hours. Horrible acting, horrible script, and awful direction. Nothing happens. Avoid at all costs. The worst movie I have seen in a long time. I am mad that this time is gone from my life.
HowardCantour.com - 5/10. This is the little short that Shia Lebouf stole. It's all of 10 minutes, and really not worth all the drama he brought on himself with it.
The Innkeepers: 4 outta 10.
Heard good things about this ghost story.
They lied. Nothing happens at all until the last 5 minutes and then the ending sucks.
Fucking weak-ass bullshit. I wish I had spent those 90 minutes watching a different movie.
"I was looking for that great jazz note that destroyed the walls of Jericho." - The Clash, The Sound Of Sinners
Black Caesar & Hell Up In Harlem (1973) - 7.5/10 on both. B Movie blaxploitation at some of it's Larry Cohen-directed finest. Love the scene stealing in downtown with obvious lookers-on mugging for the camera as the Hammer walks/stumbles/runs wherever. Art Lund as the very believable racist cop.
The Way-Martin Sheen & Emilio Estevez
8/10. Wonderful movie with a great story. I recognize the movie did not "gross" tons of money and was basically ignore, but I highly recommend the film to everybody here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5VZKWcgw6c
Captain Philips. 8/10 Good film and excellent performance by Hanks. Also, please do some research on Somali pirates and find out exactly what is going on over there and exactly why they are doing what they are doing.
