Wolf Creek (2005) - 5/10. Stereotypical horror film about an outback serial killer hunting a couple of teenagers. Kind of realistic, but neither really gory nor really frightening.

The Wolf Of Wall Street.

My initial reaction is that I loved it. I need to watch it again, though, to really gauge my adoration. It's long, but I never felt it drag. There's just something about Scorsese films that make them so re-watchable. My first thought after it was over was that I wanted to watch it again.

I might report back...

Made In Paris - 7/10. Starring Ann-Margret.

Ann-Margret plays a fashion buyer for a New York department store who's sent to Paris on an assignment and becomes involved with a French fashion designer. Worth watching just for the costumes.

Nightmare City - a little worse than average 80's Italian "zombie" type of film, especially on the sfx level, but a great boob decapitation scene. 4/10

Umberto Lenzi! That was one of the first, if not the first, to have fast moving zombies, as opposed to just the usual foot-dragging, slow kind.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Is that also called Burial Ground?

Noah 6/10. I did so want to love this film because it's Aronofsky, but it just wasn't as good as it should have been. The cast and performances were excellent, and the special effects were good, especially the animals descending on the ark, but it just lacked that special something that all of his films have.

Oh, and a cameo from God would have been nice, by the way.

Burial Ground was released a year later, also called Nights of Terror.

Like Nightmare City though, great video box cover.

Hellraiser : Deader

Surprisingly not the worst in the series. Primarily due to the nudity, although Kari Wuhrer could have been nude a whole lot more and less bloody during said nudity.

Her - 7.

Predators - 8. Way better than the AVP films. I also preferred it more than the second Predator.

Herbie Fully Loaded. Sometimes having kids sucks because a lot of their entertainment is flat out retarded.

This was...okay. Matt Dillon plays an excellent douchebag.

Like DSAB said, it's a different movie. Burial Ground was also an Italian film, though. Directed by Andrea Bianchi.

Ender's Game 7/10
Very dark for a movie targeted at the Hunger Games demographic.

Nebraska 8.5/10
Bruce Dern got all the attention, but Will Forte just kills as his son. You might identify with this movie more if you have ever spent time in an upper Midwest tiny town.
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times. I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

Under the Skin. 8/10 Not a fan of ScarJo, but she fucking nailed this. Creepy alien chick hunts and kills men in Scotland. What's not to love? And, of course, there is way more to it than that. Serious mind fuck of a movie!

I love Scorsese films too... but that fat fuck side-kick in the flick.. GEEZ I wanted to reach through the screen and drown him in the closest toilet to get him out of the film!

Yes, definitely. Every single guy in that film turned my stomach. Good acting, but a bunch of assholes, nevertheless.

Speaking of Marty S movies, whats everyone's take on The Departed?

I have seen this literally dozens of times, one of those that I will stop and watch whenever it's on (quickly becoming the 00's version of Road House in that it always seems to be on). I think it has some of the worst acting by some of the best actors that won awards. I still dig it and maybe its the choppy, fast paced way its edited... but I still think despite that, its a sloppy mess.

Specifics would be the 1) interaction between Alec and Marky Mark, especially the sceen where he asks Marky to talk about Microprocessors to the other Investigators and something about the illicit screwing of ones wife comes about 2) a good many of teh scenes involving Martin Sheen 3) the forced - or maybe trying too hard - dynamic between Marky Mark/Damon/Leo and 4) almost any seen Jack Nicolson is in, especially the no ticky/no laundry scene and his hand gestures inbetween (although I did like the hand decaptitation scene at the dinner table), although that was pretty hammy too.
