Killing Them Softly - 7/10

Fifty Shades Of Grey. 1/10. I felt like I had watched a remake of The Room. Written by someone who doesn't get how S&M works. Easily one of the worst films I have ever seen.

Mrs. Slammer made me sit through that last night. Giving it a 1 was generous. At least when she read the books I got laid a few extra times. Last night we just rolled over and went to sleep. Horrible, horrible movie. Zero out of Ten.

The Howling (1980) 7.5/10. Definitely lived up to the hype. Better than I thought it would be for being a 35 year old movie

Cabaret 10/10 Didn't think I would like this but I wound up loving it. Bob Fosse is a master at creating breathtaking musical numbers. And Liza Minnelli is a seriously underrated actress. Excellent music too.

I was crushed when the reviews said it was a poorly written, unfunny, mean-spirited mess.

I mean, as Machado would say, the first wasn't likely to win any Oscars, but it had it's moments and was good lighthearted fun.

Bigfoot zombies and all kinds of silliness in the redwoods. I enjoyed it. Lame (the SyFy channel should have it on soon), but I'd watch it again.

Super 8 (2011) - 4/10. I guess you're supposed to be nostalgic for this type of shit, but I'm not.

Le souffle au coeur / Murmur of the Heart (1971) - 8/10. I think Buttnoid mentioned this before and I downloaded it somewhere. Really cool movie. Lea Massari was so hot in it. Totally would have banged my mom too.

Snatch meets Bond/Bourne meets Kill Bill. The shootout scenes were clever, but I'd have liked it more if they'd cast the lead character differently and if Samuel L. Jackson had played it more to type. And if it were shorter.
