Office Christmas Party. Typical formula movie but had me laughing a lot. 4/10 for quality of the movie. 7/10 for stupid entertainment.

Combat Girls / Kriegerin (2011) - 9/10:
Awesome movie about the German neo-Nazi skinhead scene. I'd put it on par with Romper Stomper and I rate it higher than American History X, although it's not really like either, and not only because of its female perspective. It's not as sympathetic as the former and a lot less solemn and cheesy than the latter. It's crazy realistic, these people exist all over the place. There are few stereotypes here, you're really forced to understand why so many young hopeless people turn to right-wing ideology. The no-name actors all do an amazing job, especially Alina Levshin is great - and also really hot, which is quite a feat with ridiculous Renee hair. The music is even dead-on, written and recorded by a fake Oi! band just for this. Check this out if you ever have a chance!

Winter Sleep (2014) - 8/10:
Dialog-driven Turkish drama about society and patriarchy in a mountain village in Anatolia. Great actors, subtle writing and amazing scenery, pretty educational too.

Night of the Living Deb (2015) - 7/10:
Comedy zombie horror in the vein of Shaun of the Dead. It's sort of like a romantic comedy but with zombies. Nothing special per se, but the main character is cool and Maria Thayer is the hottest ginge going.

Miami Blues (1990) - 6/10:
Charming 80s trash with the skeeviest Alec Baldwin of all time and a young and very naked Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Candy (1968) - 6/10:
A bit disappointing, especially with a cast including Marlon Brando, Charles Aznavour, Richard Burton, Walter Mathau, Ringo Starr and a bunch of other big names. The main character sucks and isn't even hot which is the entire premise of the book. She's just a slutty retard here. The story line is completely jumbled too, and I don't really see why. Overall still a bold and weird movie, just not what I'd hoped for.

Richard Pryor: Live In Concert(1979)

8.5/10. For a comedy special this old, it is still fucking brilliant. Been wanting to watch some of his old stand-up again and it was on Netflix, and I hadn't seen it in awhile. The only movie I am looking forward to right now is the Pryor movie with Mike Epps...

Rogue One 9.5/10

This is how the Star Wars movies should be done. Really well done, nice cinematography.

Can somebody figure out why the cable channels have to show The Break-Up so often? I'm not sure if there has ever been a more torturously unfunny "comedy" with two absolutely off-putting lead characters. That movie sucks incredibly bad and somehow it pops up on VH1 or the country channel or whatever every two days or so. Goddamn. Enough already.

Pretty decent way to cover the WWII subject from the view of a bunch of Empire servants. Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson can act.
I thought the novel (by Kazuo Ishiguro) was pretty great. I guess the film is worth watching too. Thought I'd skip it but your review means something.

Sister / L'enfant d'en haut (2012) - 7/10:
French drama about a boy living as a thief at a fancy ski resort and his relationship to Léa Seydoux, who's hot and awesome. The X-Files woman is also in it.

Let Go (2011) - 6/10:
Pseudo-indy black comedy about a depressed parole officer and his three weirdo clients. Gillian Jacobs and Maria Thayer are hot in it.

I didn't even know it was written by a Jap! Now I'm slightly offended at the derogatory portrayal of Nazis. I thought we were allies!

"Jackie" - 9/10

Tremendous movie. The direction, writing and moody score, coupled with Portman's amazing performance turned this into a pretty atypical biopic. Highly recommended.

Rogue One - not a Star Wars geek, but have seen all the movies. I'd give it a 6.5/10. Entertaining, a little more gritty, good use of Vader, but slow/boring in spots.

Being Washedup Can Wait - Vince Neil, a "singer" for the American hair metal band Motley Crue, is looking forward to leading his band to perform at the Super Bowl. While riding his bicycle through the older west side of tunnel one on Kanan-Dume road in Malibu, he collides with a truck. An over-anxious guardian angel, known only as The Escort, on his first assignment plucks Vince out of his body early, in the mistaken belief that his death is imminent, and Vince arrives in the afterlife.

Once there, he refuses to believe that his time was up and, upon investigation, the mysterious Mr. Jordan discovers that he is right: he was not destined to die until much later (10:17 am on March 20, 2025, to be exact). Unfortunately, his body has already been cremated, so a new body must be found. After rejecting several possibilities of men who are about to die, Vince is finally persuaded to accept the body of a millionaire industrialist. Leo Farnsworth has just been drugged and drowned in his bathtub by his cheating gold digger wife Julia Farnsworth and her lover, Farnsworth's personal secretary, Tony Abbott.

Assassins Creed
8/10

Went to a private screening yesterday.
Very good movie. I know very little about the video game so I went into
the viewing with open minded and ready for a lot of action.
The film delivered. Go check it out if you are a big fan of the video game
or Fassbender
