Fast Five-9.5/10 (I'll go ahead and admit I LOVE all the Fast and The Furious movies so I was really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint)
Did you just rank Fast Five over On The Waterfront?

Nobel Son - 6/10 - entertaining but I missed a section so I'll have to watch it again before passing final judgment. Eliza Dushku character needed more camera time. Mary Steenburgen was perfect as always. Alan Rickman played a great asshole.

Finding Amanda - 7/10 - Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow. It's good enough to watch several times. Simple, well written, good solid acting and over all funny as fuck.

Taylor - How's it going?
Link - Well, I got no legs, I got no balls, I piss out of a tube. How the fuck do you think it's going?
Taylor - Right, but getting the good parking spaces must take some of the sting out of it.

This is one of 2 fairly recent movies I knew nothing about til I saw them. The other being Memento. Absolutely LOVED both of them.

The Daughter Of Rosie O'Grady - 10/10. Starring June Haver and Debbie Reynolds.

It's about an ex-vaudeville star raising his 3 daughters after his wife dies. His second oldest daughter wants to follow in her mother's footsteps, but he disapproves. She runs away to follow her dreams.

Bridge, I finally watched "Junebug". Great fucking performance by Amy Adams indeed. She carried the whole thing. It was at first delightfully depressing, until the real drama set in. I still liked how they didn't feel like they had to resolve shit or make up a plot. Definitely a good movie, but not one that was any fun watching it. The whole time, it feels like you're hanging out with knuckles.

Yeah, that's my review in a nutshell. "Junebug" is like watching a dumb, yet awesome hot chick lose a baby, while some creepy, yet funny-smart Canadian watches you.

That's considered awkward, right? I suck at this.

Excellent review, and I also liked how they just left the relationships all slightly dysfunctional at the end. Good pain.

I recently watched it again with a friend who I could tell wasn't wild about it. I've been considering terminating our friendship because of it.

p.s. If ever you want some Cheerwine, look me up. I can even take you to Replacements Limited.

Pay the fuck attention, knuckbert. My bad is good, my angels bring the light, my toilet is a church, my marriage is a whorehouse, my using you as a metaphor for awkwardness is . . . okay, still pretty dickish.

Just be happy you're not alleyrulez.

Don't pass her up on the Cheerwine. I haven't had any in 5 years and I'm starting to miss that fine redneck nectar.

I'll drink Cheerwine with you any day! I'll even bring the pork rinds and moonpies.

Uh, let's just get some 12 Bones or something. I don't think pork rinds are on my diet.

I might almost consider trying this Cheerwine, but I'm not sure if I can afford the right peanuts that probably belong in there.

Bitter Feast (2010) - 7/10. A chef gets one too many bad reviews and goes after the food blogger that is out to ruin his job and reputation. Sounds a little corny, but turns out this low budgeted flick is pretty mean spirited and has decent elements of dark humor. A little gore, gratuitous boob shot in the bathtub. Check it out.

Attack The Block. I was quite drunk and kept leaving and walking back into the screen (other people were playing guitar hero/some racing game in another screen) but, from what I saw, I wouldn't really recommend it. There are a few silghtly funny bits, nothing special. 5/10

Saw The Fighter and The Town back to back and lemmie tell you it was WICKED PISSAH! Jesus, these days movies set in Boston are as ubiquitous as movies set in New York used to be.

I thought The Fighter was really good. I like when Amy Adams gets gritty; it turns me on. The Town was... serviceable. How many movies are there with almost the exact same premise? I was amazed that the lead actress looked like a cross between McKenzie Phillips and Shelly Duvall and yet was still pretty damn hot. Hard to believe.

Bridesmaids: 5

Starts out funny, and manages to avoid turning into a "chick flick" for a while, then turns the corner half way through and goes straight to smarmy romantic comedy hell.
