That means .09% of the cases were reversed by the Supreme Court. Trump claimed the 9th Circuit is reversed 80% of the time.

80% was the highest rate among the 10 circuit courts. Additionally and more importantly, the other 9 circuit courts combined for 251 total cases overturned/vacated (27 average per court). The 9th circuit alone accounted for 140 cases overturned/vacated.

While Trump should've used more context to explain his point of why the 9th court is considered rogue, you flat out lied and tried to mislead by not showing all the pertinent data.

The numbers were highlighted in red. The Supreme Court heard 175 cases from the 9th Circuit. That is 175 out of 114,199 decisions. Trump lied and you stupidly are defending his lie. If the 9th Circuit is "rogue" then why the fuck did the Supreme Court only review 175 case out of 114,199? Fact is it is not rogue. The reversal rate is not unusually high. In the 2nd Circuit, the Supreme Court reversed or vacated 41 of the 57 cases reviewed. That's 72%. In the 6th Circuit, it's 73%. In the 5th Circuit it's 73%. In the Federal Circuit it's 83%. There is nothing "rogue" about the 9th Circuit dumb ass. If Trump had provided proper context, he'd make an even bigger fool of himself. Imagine if Trump had said "The 9th Circuit decided 114,119 cases and the Supreme Court overturned 140. They have the second-highest reversal rate of the 13 appellate courts below the Supreme Court." Of course the Supreme Court is only going to challenge a very small % of circuit court cases. They only have so much time.

That doesn't change the fact that The ninth circuit had 140 cases overturned/vacated, the other circuit courts averaged 27!!!

Now I know you don't understand economics too well, that was proven yesterday. Obviously you can't analyze statistics either. Almost 6x's the amount of all the other circuit courts is a significant anomaly. Trying to diminish this significance by washing it with all the cases the Supreme Court would never have time to hear is ignoring the obvious anomaly.

Look, I really don't give a shit about the 9th circuit court and their rep. I'm not trying to parrot a talking point.

Statistics clearly back the 9th circuit court's "rogue" reputation. In showing this another way, the 9th circuit had a case overturned/vacated more than once per month in a 10 year period. The other courts had 2 or 3 per year.

It's the AMOUNT of cases they have reviewed and had overturned/vacated that is much more important statistically than % not affirmed that were reviewed. They had a high % of a LOT more cases! Any reasonable person would look at those statistics and have questions.

Trump's general assertion was correct, he just chose the wrong statistic to cite. Joe on the other hand is just lying/misleading or just plain fucking stupid.

Now like I said, I don't care about the 9th circuit court. But after the other day when Joe was clearly confused on how the Fed Funds Rate works, I had to call him out on the hypocrisy of calling someone a liar while actually being much more dishonest and misleading.
