I'll add "there is no there there" to the list of exceedingly dumb and overused expressions polluting the news lately.

I went and looked it up. It was in use in the 1950s in gossip columns. Helen Gurley Brown used it in the 70s...and there's a couple of instances since. It's just this past year or so, I've seen it resurrected to my great annoyance. I first came across it this last year on Kos. It annoyed me then. And I usually enjoy archaic or antique words or phrases, but this one bugged me right out the gate. This past week, it's just ridiculous.

So it looks like both junior and Kushner could be on the hook for a felony from this. The problem is not in the actual meeting or anything attempted by the meeting but apparently Kushner did not disclose this in his security clearance paperwork. And Way Douche Jr. had already submitted all info to the FBI as a campaign official and you can bet your ass he didn't mention this meeting, which would also fall under giving a false statement to a federal officer.
