Making America great again: Literally nobody on earth believes Pompeo over Iran on the tanker attack shenanigans. When it comes to justifying acts of war, you're the bottom of the barrel. I'd take the word of Assad, Erdogan or Putin over any Trump cabinet members.
Re: Dump Shithole
Jeremy Cunt apparently believes them. Britain desperate for a trade deal once no deal Brexit goes through in October will do anything to keep Trump onside. Awful Tories. Dreadful bunch.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 1:34 pm Making America great again: Literally nobody on earth believes Pompeo over Iran on the tanker attack shenanigans. Trump says his visit was the most fun Queen Elizabeth II had in 25 years
CNN) — In the past 25 years, Queen Elizabeth II has marked a Golden and Diamond Jubilee, visited multiple continents, celebrated the weddings of her grandchildren and the birth of multiple great-grandchildren, and met numerous world leaders.
But, according to President Donald Trump, Her Majesty has never had so much fun as she did during his visit last week.
"I have such a great relationship, and we were laughing and having fun. And her people said she hasn't had so much fun in 25 years. Then I got criticized for it because they said we were having too much fun," Trump told Fox News' "Fox and Friends" during a phone interview Friday.
The 93-year-old monarch hosted the US President and first lady Melania Trump for an official State Visit filled with pomp and circumstance last week, including dinner at Buckingham Palace.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said Trump's comments are "not something we would comment on."
Brief press coverage of the visit showed a formal and warm, if largely sedate, relationship between the notoriously stoic Queen and the bombastic President.
In a Fox News interview from Normandy just after the trip to London, Trump called the Queen an "incredible lady."
"I feel I know her so well and she certainly knows me very well right now, but we have a very good relationship also with the United Kingdom," he said last week.
Queen Elizabeth II, who ascended to the throne in February 1952 after the death of her father, has met with nearly every US President since Harry Truman.
She went horseback riding and ate chile rellenos in California with President Ronald Reagan and planted a tree with President George H. W. Bush, and was known to share a warm relationship with the Obamas.
The Trumps previously met with the Queen at Windsor Castle last June, a more informal meeting over tea.
Asked by British television personality Piers Morgan if he got the feeling she liked him after that visit, Trump told Morgan: "Well, I don't want to speak for her, but I can tell you I liked her. So, usually that helps. But I liked her a lot."

Re: Dump Shithole
It's basically sports now. Fox News, Trump, and all the guys in the Trump machine noticed people who are so blindly loyal that they're willing to paint their bellies at football games and punch people in the face. That's who they attract--they just took all that energy and converted it into "Durrrrrrrrr lock her up." You got people who were never politically savvy before--maybe wanted lower taxes and weren't crazy about darkies--and made them believe they were as smart as the "experts" on television. And when the "experts" are Rick Santorum, they're not too far off base.Mojo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 8:18 amTons of them support his actual policies, or lack thereof. Throw into the mix the conspiracy market exploding with YouTube and social media and that's where you get guys like Don't Damn Me and NeverSurrender saying stuff like "I was never interested in politics before but all of a sudden people were saying things that made a lot of sense." They were always angry and stupid, but now they had targets: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, George Soros, all immigrants, most people of color, etc.
NeverSurrender used to try to ridicule anyone here who discussed politics. ALMOST OVERNIGHT he turned around and started talking politics obsessively. It was around 2008. Any ideas on what might have happened in 2008?
They think Trump is doing a great job because they think he's like them: An underdog who's being treated unfairly by forces out of their control. They're not losers; the world has just conspired against them. That's really what they see in Trump, somebody who's a victim, just like themselves. So none of the evidence to the contrary matters: The media is out to get him, just like the world is out to get them.

This part is always the most interesting when I hear it. It's spoken as if it absolves the speaker of guilt, somehow. Like, "Well, I'm obviously not all the terrible things people say about my party because I'm not even OF that party." Lemmyspole loves to use this one. "Oh, I'm not racist, misogynistic or stupid, I just champion someone who is." Like there's a difference, somehow. The mental gymnastics that one has to pull off to openly champion a candidate while somehow trying to absolve themselves of that candidates entire makeup must be a nightmare.Chip Z'Hoy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 8:41 am "I was never interested in politics before but all of a sudden people were saying things that made a lot of sense."

Re: Dump Shithole
Two of my family members are currently in a simmering feud because the male family member gets hostile when politics of any kind are discussed; this is a tactic to shield himself from hearing negative comments about Trump. However when he gets a beer or two in him, HE is the one who brings it up and of course the Trump-is-an-idiot shots start firing off. Last time this happened he had the (probably drunken) gall to claim he voted for Clinton in 2016. This is absolutely preposterous and she laughed in his face, prompting him to get mad and start making unwarranted personal insults toward her. He voted for Hillary about as much as he flew to the fucking moon. Everybody knows it, I don't know why he can't just own up to it.
It really is amazing how polarizing president fuckface is. I guarantee my family is not an outlier on this. Agree or disagree with his policies, one thing is certain: this administration is making people who used to get along just fine... HATE each other. It's absolutely disgusting.

Johnson said Muslim women wearing their traditional garb look like letter boxes. That's funny, I admit. But not in the context of everything else Johnson says.
That's exactly what it is. My coworker is like this. He plays the "Oh, I can't even listen to the news anymore, I'm so fed up with all of it," but he never mentions specifically what he's fed up with. He doesn't want to talk about it because he knows the rest of us in the office hate Trump. Get this coworker with a fellow Trumptard and it's like a fucking Hitler rally between the two.exitflagger wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 10:09 am this is a tactic to shield himself from hearing negative comments about Trump.

I don't agree with selling weapons to the Saudi's or their human rights record, and I don't agree with backing Israel while it stomps the Palestinians, so I guess there's no black or white in these things.

Is it any different than those of us who like bad behaving sports stars, actors or musicians? I suppose the difference is they like Trump because hes an asshole, whereas entertainment personalities are usually liked because of their talent and the assholery gets added later.Mojo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:45 amThis part is always the most interesting when I hear it. I don't think I like any actors, musicians or sports figures who are shitty like Trump is. Certainly none who can be taken seriously due to their position in government. We expect certain things from rock stars and actors. We don't expect those things in the so-called "Leader of the Free World."MickeyG wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 10:47 am Is it any different than those of us who like bad behaving sports stars, actors or musicians? And yet he was an asshole before and still people voted for him. Some because they'll vote "R" no matter what, and some because they like his type of assholery and some, I believe, because they want some change and saw Trump as an establishment break. On that note, he's just let McConnell and the Republicans do what they want not changing anything for working folk.

Someday the Trump voters, the GOP reps, the Fox and Breitbart people, they're going to have to own the role they played in this country's deterioration and the harm their president oversaw. Whether they were duped or clearly saw the ruse but went along with it, they're in the equation.
One good thing about not voting for Trump is you never have to say, "I voted for Trump."

Re: Dump Shithole
One of my biggest beefs with Lennyesque Neo-Liberalism is the holier-than-thou presumption of superiority that HuffPo Liberals wield with militant smugness. "I say, Republicans. Some day! Some day, you'll be sorry!" As if people are suddenly going to have some revelation and start proselytizing BuzzFeed and begging for forgiveness. This happens with exactly zero demographics en masse. It only serves to further alienate people.SebastianLeeDanzig wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 12:18 amWe have neo-Nazi militias in Germany and a far-right organization is the fastest rising party since the inception of the FRG. "Naive" doesn't even begin to describe people like Lenny and his brand of Liberalism is why people don't take Liberals seriously. They're weak and sheepish, and they give precious little to aspire to. It's no wonder retards see someone abrasive like Trump and glom onto him instead.

Trump campaign cutting ties with pollsters after internal numbers leaked
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-t ... d-n1017991
President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign is cutting ties with some of its own pollsters after leaked internal polling showed the president trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in critical 2020 battleground states, according to a person close to the campaign.
The move comes after NBC News obtained new details from a March internal poll that found Trump trailing Biden in 11 key states.
The president denied the existence of any negative polling during comments last week in the Oval Office, saying his campaign has “great internal polling” and saying the numbers reported were from “fake polls.”
“We are winning in every single state that we've polled. We're winning in Texas very big. We're winning in Ohio very big. We're winning in Florida very big,” he said.
