Anyone who isn't specifically hunting for food is just a fucking asshole, and even hunting for that reason is ridiculous when there's a massive food surplus at almost any store. My father was a union bricklayer for 42 years... In the winter time when work would slow down or they couldn't work due to cold weather, to supplement the food bill in the home, my father hunted. Quail, wild rabbit and occasionally squirrel. Every fall he got a deer tag and if he shot one, it was processed into hamburger and sausage and used throughout the following months in the house.
In the spring and summer he caught fish to provide for us and ease the grocery bill, plus you couldn't buy crappie, spoonbill or trout prepared in the store.. I am a hardcore animal lover, but I understood what my father did was to provide for his family the way he was brought up in the country.. And I have no problem with anyone hunting to provide for their family, I just think the posing with the animal looks rather stupid.. Wow! You killed an animal while you were dressed in camo and rubbed deer urine all over yourself to get it!

Once my brother and I were of age, my father didn't hunt much anymore, he didn't need to. Not once in all of those years did he get his picture taken with the dead deer or pose with it smiling like a douchebag who just accomplished an Olympian feat... Trophy's are for the little needle dick hunter he used to say..
