Dumb crap Rudy said in court yesterday. I think my dog is smarter then him.
During a five-hour hearing in Williamsport, U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann appeared mystified as Giuliani asserted without evidence that a “Mafia-like” cabal of Democratic leaders in cities nationwide used mail ballots to rig the election in Joe Biden’s favor.
The judge seemed equally perplexed by the Trump campaign’s proposed remedy: that he should bar Pennsylvania from certifying its final vote tally. “At bottom, you’re asking this court to invalidate some 6.8 million votes thereby disenfranchising every single voter in the commonwealth,” Brann said. “Can you tell me how this result could possibly be justified?” “If this is allowed without serious sanction, it’s going to become an epidemic,” Giuliani said. “It’s already happened. You give them an inch, they’ll take a mile. They stole an election, at least in this commonwealth.”

Guiliani is apparently very impressed by Trump's whole gaslight/Jedi Mind Trick approach of "Saying it makes it true". Trying to will poppycock into validity by sheer insistence and repetition.

The judge was so impressed he canceled the evidentiary hearing scheduled for tomorrow. Meanwhile GA is done with the hand recount and will certify Biden's win tomorrow.wildside1969 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:20 pm https://www.inquirer.com/news/trump-pen ... 01117.html

The quiet agony of Emily Murphy. Poor Emily. Imagine being this deluded or sycophantic that you would risk causing potential national harm by simply not confirming an election even some GOP Senators are quietly acknowledging has been called. Whatever she thinks she's doing here, she's way off the mark.

Detroit Republicans that's not how this works. Once the official certification date that's set by law passes you can't say "No, I changed my mind, I want to change my vote." Palmer told the Post "I did receive a call from President Trump, late Tuesday evening, after the meeting," "He was checking in to make sure I was safe after hearing the threats and doxing that had occurred." Palmer was asked if she discussed the presidential vote count with Trump. "It's hard for me to describe. There was a lot of adrenalin and stress going on. There were general comments about different states but we really didn't discuss the details of the certification. ... It was not pressure. It was genuine concern for my safety." I guess she missed the memo that said: the county certification date of November 17 is a definitive deadline and that board members' votes cannot be changed after the fact.

Somewhere in that conversation was probably said "So how will I get this payment and how will it be disguised to avoid a paper trail?"

Forty-two years after the Jonestown massacre, a former Peoples Temple member says President Donald Trump's rhetoric reminds her of cult leader Jim Jones.
Yulanda Williams, who fled Jonestown a year before the massacre and later rose to the rank of acting captain in the San Francisco Police Department, told KRON-TV that she sees similarities to Jonestown in 2020.
She believes Trump is "responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people" from COVID-19—and says his rhetoric is "so similar" to that of Jones.

Donald Trump interfering with and trying to rig more elections faster then a desperate junkie with no cash needing a fix real bad will rip you off. President Donald Trump has invited Republican state lawmakers from Michigan to the White House on Friday, according to a person familiar with the matter, as the President and his legal team are mounting an effort to overturn the results of the election he lost to President-elect Joe Biden.

How is this going to work? Some senators and members of the Trump administration have been privately congratulating Biden and Harris while publicly saying nothing. Meanwhile other officials are publicly stating this election isn't over and working to make that happen. The party doesn't even have consistency. Is it over or still going for these pricks?
I'm going to trust in the smart mouthpieces that insist this coup bullshit is going nowhere but it is nonetheless deeply embarrassing for a democracy like the United States. I'm now moving to about 65% certain that this pouty asshole is definitely going to force people to escort him out of the White House on January 20, 2021.

Worst of all, openly going after minority districts while a large percentage of Republicans remain silent. Americans can never again ask how Nazi Germany came into existence and shattered human rights. The Religious Right finally exposed without question.

The lawmakers stopped short of affirming Mr. Biden’s victory in the state in the statement. But they also sent a clear signal that they would abide by the election results.

Yeah, I'm hoping that bullshit helps the Democratic races. Also, I hope the momentum of Georgia having gone blue presidentially also produces an excitement in the voters about moving into a new kind of future, putting Warnock and Ossoff over the top.

I think the opposite. Every Trump loss is going to galvanize republicans more and more that their races are all being stolen. I'm predicting a Repub win on this.

That might be true, too. With the congressional races going the way they did, there's no reason to think that trend won't hold. But I honestly don't know how this is gonna play out.
Either way, meanwhile, while, I don't wish anyone dead, Mitch McConnell may not even live out another term. He looks in bad shape. Then again, they say evil never dies. What would that do to the Senate, even with a Republican replacement?

This is structural shit, and wont end with McConell or Trump or whoever. The internet and cable news has allowed everyone to self-select into their own little bubbles and allowed disinformation to fully take hold. Even if we get through the next few years, there's gonna be a big test to our current form of rules and government, in my reckoning.

Especially given that the Trumptard demographic is perfectly happy, and even proud, to form their opinions from screamingly obviously fake/biased/misinformed "sources." They actively shut themselves off from reality to preserve their need to feel superior and mavericky, because unlike us, they're in a special, knowing club that's privy to the deep, inner workings of the deep state. It's such a weird mix of militant, purposeful, self-imposed brainwashing. That shit isn't going away, ever.HueyRamone wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 11:43 pm This is structural shit, and wont end with McConell or Trump or whoever. I'm guessing a lot of that stems from their Religious Right Christian backgrounds, too. Like Obama said, they do a lot of clinging to their guns and bibles in Trumptard land, and they think anything that would be against them doing so is a deep state conspiracy.Mojo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 7:47 amEspecially given that the Trumptard demographic is perfectly happy, and even proud, to form their opinions from screamingly obviously fake/biased/misinformed "sources." Boycott them? Great. Makes it easier for Democrats to get the vote numbers in that state.
