Kushner's "deal of the century" for Trump to single-handedly bring eternal peace to the middle-East apparently consists of stripping millions of Palestinians of their refugee status and abandoning UNRWA, effectively leaving them with no place to live or any sustainable means to survive in either hostile or impoverished host societies. This can only further escalate tensions in the region, encourage Israel's apartheid policy, and cement convictions that the US is a completely unreliable and untrustworthy partner.

Trump's idea of "deal-making" always comes down to unilateral decisions with no regard to prior agreements or global consequences, throwing the weakest party under the bus for short-term domestic success propaganda.

While watching Rachel Maddow's broadcast the other night, I finally started to think, "You know, maybe I've had enough of the 24-hour cable news outlets." Outside of her show, they're just... not very effective by comparison. Seriously, what she does is far and above better than anything the talking head panels accomplish on CNN or MSNBC, the two networks I'll pop on while at the gym.

I mean don't get me wrong, there are some fine commentators that get brought in/piped in to talk on those shows, but most of them have started to feel like meat for the progressive base (of which I am a part), just a salacious push for ratings by riling up the audience with each new condemnable Trump administration offense. Maddow's connecting of countless dots into an elaborate image is truly incredible journalism and seems like something that could actually be of some *help* to the situation.

I also realized while watching a Bill Maher segment that I really gravitate to Maher's way of going forward. For the left-leaning media outlets across TV, print and the web, there's a pervasive idea of "*When* Trump is removed from office," etc. etc., but I appreciate Maher's skepticism. He's hopeful, but realistic enough from looking around at how things have gone and are still being handled to know that this could all still continue further sliding into the swamp. Is such certainty in a blue wave from people healthy or helpful or is it better to see things as they are? When Maher says, "New rule, stop saying Trump is not above the law," maybe that's a better way of scaring people into taking the stakes more seriously.

I've given up watching the daily goings on at the Drumpf circus tent, but I did catch a blurb of this over the weekend and thought the same thing... THIS is supposed to be shocking?? A reality game show host hires one of the contestants? The entire thing is like a scene from a futuristic Schwarzenegger movie.. That's what I was referring to. I live in the part of LA where Miller grew up and even know a guy who went to high school with Miller (and confirmed that Miller caused serious problems there). Miller's ideas about dangerous immigrants and their threat to society is most likely based on nothing he saw in his upbringing in this environment.

This guy is just not wired right. And I'll bet anyone who knew him or of him way back when would never have predicted he'd be a key figure in the White House.
