I've seen many military people in comments sections expressing disgust for the idea of this parade. I think what's really needed is enough of them yelling loudly, "I'm a proud, diehard, card-carrying military veteran or someone presently serving, and our community needs to be disgusted by Trump's attempts to use us for his own gain." A number of them have echoed comments in those sections expressing the point that Trump doesn't understand that military people sign up to serve the country, but for just uses of defense and protection. Not offensive wars started by old white men like the ones Trump seems to be into.

It seems very clear to many of these military members that Trump neither cares about the military nor understands its concerns.

I wouldn't want a public figure kid's personal life to be invaded, but whenever he shows up in a story or photo, I think a lot of people can't help but wonder what Barron Trump is like as a kid or what his situation is like. He's the only one in that family (and I'm including the spouses) that actually has a chance at a future life without public scorn heaped upon him. Hopefully he ends up being someone that's quite different from the other Trumps (read a decent human being). It's unfair, but you can be sure his life will unfortunately bear some pressure of scrutiny or expectations because of what his older relatives were like.

So now one of Trump's most trusted advisors turns out to be a wifebeater. After Wife #1 told her story, a couple of Republicans trashed her and said she was politically motivated. Then she provided pics of her black eye from 15 years ago. And then Wife #2 told her story today about his physical and emotional abuse. And apparently there was a girlfriend who was afraid of him just a few months back. This morning Porter announced that Wife #1 was lying. Then he said Wife #2 wasn't necessarily telling the truth either. (But he didn't say "I didn't hit her.") Then, finally he resigned. And now he's dating...Hope Hicks. Hopefully she dumps his ass right now. He's had a really bad day, and he might be looking to take it out on someone.

Oh, and he didn't have his security clearance yet...probably because the gov't interviewed his ex-wifes as part of his security check...but he was still allowed to see top secret info.

But I guess if the administration thinks a child molester is good enough to be Senator of Alabama, then a wife beater is good enough to be a trusted advisor.
