LMAO @ "Bernie Sanders" caused the "fracture". The Democratic Party was weakened by a stranglehold of Clintonite center-left DLC warmongering money whores who forgot their constituents. Bernie Sanders was a breath of fresh air in Democratic politics and would have defeated The Witch if a) he had hammered her at all weak points (e.g. foreign policy) and b) the DNC didn't conspire to block him.

Everyone hated her, jabroni. Get over it.
The Bern did expose the Socialist side. Just ask Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I would vote for Ocasio over half the GOP candidates. The DNC apparatus did everything in their power to stop her and she still won. Old Left politics get my respect if not my full support.

President Donald Trump on Saturday falsely claimed he did not support immigration bills put forth by House Republicans — despite urging them days earlier to pass it in an all-caps tweet.

“I never pushed the Republicans in the House to vote for the Immigration Bill, either GOODLATTE 1 or 2, because it could never have gotten enough Democrats as long as there is the 60 vote threshold,” Trump tweeted. “I released many prior to the vote knowing we need more Republicans to win in Nov.”

But Trump’s tweet is plainly false.

On Wednesday, the day the Republican-backed immigration compromise bill came up for a vote in the House, Trump tweeted that “HOUSE REPUBLICANS SHOULD PASS THE STRONG BUT FAIR IMMIGRATION BILL, KNOWN AS GOODLATTE II, IN THEIR AFTERNOON VOTE TODAY, EVEN THOUGH THE DEMS WON’T LET IT PASS IN THE SENATE.”

The bill failed hours after his endorsement.
Presidents with dementia should be fired immediately.

Everyone knew that the free college patchouli wasn't happening. Yet he was certainly more fashionable than Clinton. You have to turn a blind eye not to count that as one of the fractures. He shares blame for the results and to argue this point is only for the sake of argument.

Uh huh. And at this point, the Sanders Kool Aid is just as bad as the Trump Kool Aid.

If Sanders had won, he’d be facing impeachment. As would Hillary. The Repugs own everything memba? You cannot get a fucking thing done if no one allows you to get it done.

Trump is a traitor to his country and is still sitting in office. No further proof is needed.

He shares fuck all of the blame. A wet rag would have won the election over Trump. But nooooo... the DNC had to go with the one option that would make for a tight race. Sanders exposed weaknesses in the party and drew young people in. Lots of people who wouldn't have voted for Clinton in the first place. To blame him is absurd.

As usual, you aren't actually making an argument. You are merely asserting that the Queen should have been unopposed, with no criticism, no accountability, and we wouldn't have elected Adolf Stalin. Your mentality is exactly what's wrong with your party. You are a Clinton dead-ender, a Russia truther, and a gee-whiz why don't those yokels think like me type.

Don't feel bad; there are a ton of people who think exactly like you do. And you are why The President will be elected again. The "free college patchouli" people will be organizing and building political capital while born losers contemplate what went wrong with another Clinton and looking for Russians under their bed.

Oldie But Goodie (1989)
Abortion Rights Leader Honored
https://www.nytimes.com/1989/04/13/nyre ... nored.html

As about 125 anti-abortion demonstrators protested outside the Plaza Hotel last night, about 300 people gathered inside to honor Robin Chandler Duke, the president emeritus of the National Abortion Rights Action League, which sponsored last week's abortion rights march in Washington.

The guests paid $500 each for an evening of dinner and speeches by pro-choice advocates, including Morgan Fairchild, Joanne Woodward, Dr. Mathilde Krim, Arthur Schlesinger and Judy Collins, who sang.

The organizers of the dinner said they will use the proceeds to continue an intensive advertising campaign in print and television to strengthen the voice of the pro-choice movement.

Donald J. Trump, a co-sponsor of the dinner and owner of the Plaza Hotel, at Fifth Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets, did not attend the event.

Mrs. Duke said that it was her understanding that Mr. and Mrs. Trump and their children were threatened in phone calls to the offices of the National Abortion Rights Action League. She said Mr. Trump canceled his appearance after the death threats.

People have started calling Trump's draft bill to abandon world trade rules the 'FART Act'
https://www.aol.com/article/news/2018/0 ... /23472912/

The Trump administration has drafted legislation that would empower the president to ignore international trade rules set by the World Trade Organization, according to a leaked draft of the bill obtained by the news website Axios.

The draft bill, known as the "United States Fair and Reciprocal Tariff Act," would essentially allow President Donald Trump to unilaterally raise tariffs without Congress' approval.

The WTO maintains a rules-based system meant to resolve international trade disputes, end unfair trade practices, and head off potential trade wars. But Trump has reportedly said that foreign countries use the organization to "screw the United States."

Should the US walk away from the WTO, it would undermine the entire system of trade rules agreed upon by the international community.

One source familiar with the Trump administration's draft bill told Axios it was "insane."

"It would be the equivalent of walking away from the WTO and our commitments there without us actually notifying our withdrawal," the source said. "It's not implementable at the border … and it would completely remove us from the set of global trade rules."

According to Axios, Trump was briefed on the draft legislation in late May, and most of the officials who wrote it believe the bill is untenable, unlikely to receive any support in Congress, and essentially "dead on arrival."

White House spokeswoman Lindsay Waters told Axios that Trump had asked his staff to come up with ways to persuade other countries to lower their tariffs.

"It is no secret that POTUS has had frustrations with the unfair imbalance or tariffs that put the US at a disadvantage," she said.

Trump has been angling for some time to withdraw the US from the WTO completely, though he would be unable to do so without Congress' approval.

People in Government usually have no idea what they are doing.
Back about a decade ago, my state was starting a new transitional SNAP program, and the state DHHS Commissioner kept calling it TNA an Acronym for Transitional Nutritional Assistance.
It took about 7 of us laughing in the back of the room for her to get what we were laughing about. They subsequently changed it to Transitional Food Supplement.

Fox News Suddenly Questions Michael Cohen’s ‘Credibility’
Once a welcome and trusted Trump surrogate for Fox News, the network’s hosts are now seemingly starting to turn on Michael Cohen after his ABC interview.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/fox-news- ... redibility

Apparently all Michael Cohen had to do to lose Fox News was sit down with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

Following an off-camera interview in which Cohen pledged his loyalty not to President Trump but to his family and his country, the hosts of Fox’s Outnumbered came down hard on the full-time fixer and sometime lawyer, openly questioning his “credibility” ahead of his potential cooperation with two separate investigations into the president.

Delivering a major understatement, Harris Faulkner noted that Cohen “seems to be creating some daylight” between himself and Trump, for whom he once suggested he would “take a bullet.” Going against the president, Cohen told Stephanopoulos that he doesn’t think Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is a “witch hunt” and said that he trust the intelligence community’s “unanimous conclusions” about Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.

“If he knows something that is so important and yet he’s willing to sort of taunt the president by seeming to go against him, what does that say about this person as a witness?” Faulkner wondered aloud. “It gets difficult to kind of even see him as credible at this point. I don’t know what he knows, just based on the way he’s acting.”

Later, she added, “The one thing we know about Michael Cohen is that he’ll throw anybody under the bus.” Faulkner pointed to the moment in court when Cohen gave up Fox News’ own Sean Hannity as his mystery “third client.”

Beyond simply giving Fox News’ biggest star legal advice, Cohen was a frequent guest on the network for years. Before he hinted that he might flip on the president, he was a welcome and trusted Trump surrogate on Fox.

“And if you’re willing to give an interview, if you’re willing to speak out publicly like he’s now done and go against the president,” co-host Abby Huntsman concurred, “I think we should all take that as a signal that he is in a dire situation, grasping for air, wanting any help he can get.”

This is a network with a star anchor who is Drumpf's nightly confidante. Fox News is absolutely now entangled in this presidency's corruption as opposed to when it simply shilled for the office for people like Bush Jr.

Putting your name on obviously ghost written books doesn't mean you wrote them..

On this 4th of July the flag is flying at half staff at White House after deaths of 5 reporters and Drumpf is tweeting about "fake news."
I also think he means "pore over."

He, or his ghost tweeter, quickly deleted the tweet and corrected the mistake..

Is there anybody who really thinks he's just trolling and that he actually KNOWS that shit like "pour/pore" will get his detractors all worked up? I know there are lots of people who subscribe to that theory. It seems really hard to believe that we could have a president who's that severely retarded.

I would actually feel a lot better about things if it was revealed that he's doing it on purpose. It's fucking terrifying if he's not. God help us.
