Even as a kid I wasn't a big fan of condiments and a lot of shit on my burgers (cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce at most), so I've never had one either. Nor a Whopper.

It's the sauce. When I was on the McDonald's PR business we celebrated something (maybe the 50th birthday of the Big Mac) by giving away bottles of the sauce and we had people lining up early just to get a wristband to get one. Only 10,000 were made. Here's one here. $$$.

I never eat McDonalds except for the fries as a once-in-a-while thing. The app gives away fries with a minimum $1 purchase. Their fries and Coke are still the best around, and I can get both for less than a $1.50 through the app.

When I worked on the McD account team the #1 rule was to never discount fries, as people would pay full price for them and we didn't want to cheapen their value. We didn't even put a small fry on the $1 menu. We'd get you to pay $1 for a McChicken and $1.49 for a small fry, $1.99 for a med, and $2.49 for a large.

McD Fry facts. They are NEVER in an environment that's not higher than 32 degrees, at least here where I am. The train that deliveries them to the distribution center literately pulls into a freezer/warehouse to be unloaded.

Another fun McDonald's fact: When we launched Frozen Strawberry Lemonade you paid more for lemons at the grocery store due to the amount of Lemon's the McD purchased Nationally for the launch. Simple supply and demand. Same with cuties when we put them in our Happy Meals.
