I love a good sandwich! If it’s a sub…MUST be on a white sub roll. Italian works.

Ham, roast beef, and turkey. Provolone. Lettuce, onions (prefer smaller chopped…white), tomato. Salt and pepper. Oregano. Oil and vinegar.

Sometimes I’ll add jalapeños. Probably half the time.

Carls on my daily walk to beach- I stop in probably every other week for Breakfast Burger. Finish it before I start beach backpack walking. Sometimes Carls breakfast burger is needed just to change things up from beach cafes

And I'm betting Arby's won't cut it. I've actually gone the homemade Boar's Head route a couple of times and bought some freshly sliced BH corned beef and swiss with BH sauerkraut and Ken's Russian dressing. That's about as supremely tasty as a Reuben can get without going to an actual NYC deli.

Haven't been to Arby's in 45 years and they didn't have anything but "roast beef" and "turkey" then pretty much. Anytime I go into a decent cafe or diner for lunch I'll try their Reuben if they have one...

Tonight I was still hungry after dinner.

Toasted a hamburger bun. Heated up some leftover pulled pork barbecue. Put it on the bun. Topped it with a slice of cheddar cheese and Texas Pete hot sauce. It was damn good.

Jersey Mike's is fabulous!
Quizno's toasted Italian was great too. Unfortunately, they aren't around here any more.

But Ruben's, French Dips, corned beef on rye with coleslaw and 1000 island, pastrami with just mustard, Togo's is my favorite for that.
I never order tuna when I'm out, but I make it at home often to for lunches.

I also never order chicken sandwiches, but I had one at a local diner recently that was awesome. They called it the California sandwich. It was grilled chicken breast, with tomato and avocado. Really good!

OH! And another favorite... Mel's Drive-In makes a short rib grilled cheese, served with horseradish mayonnaise... It's incredible!
