Most "popular" musician? Sammy Hagar or Dave Grohl?

Post by NeilC »

Serious question, I know they do their own shows and such, but it seems like these guys seem to know just about everybody in the music industry! Not just a "Hey, we shot a segment with so and so!". I mean, they have their personal phone numbers, get invited too all sorts of parties and events, etc. Is there someone more well-known in the industry, today? A certain producer or other musicians who just gets around and knows so many people? Just wondering. Btw, Sammy Hagar-looking amazing and I get the feeling his life is almost as amazing as it seems.

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Dave Grohl has never had good day in his life
I’ve never had day lower than 9.5
Sammy and Grohl didn’t win in life.

Those two will never achieve life happiness like I have
Sammy has fake beach life
Grohl has worst musician life in 2024- his suffering makes me even happier(didn’t think that was possible)
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Back to the "popular" part: Foo Fighters are playing here next month and tickets sold out in 3 MINUTES. I don't see a Sammy concert doing that. Ever.

Lance Eric is busy but should do stadium tour of his favorite covers

Alone + Easy Target
Up In Arms
Aurora
Can’t Drive 55
Weenie Beenie
Next Year
Dreams
Best Of You
My Hero
Runaround
Farhertime

Lance Eric would have L7 as direct support because he loves and respects them not Douche Bag Grohl pretending to love L7 with 4pm slot
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Pretty much this.

Sammy’s name is more known. Wider age reach. My parents would know that name. They’d have no clue who Grohl is.

Popular among peers, not audience numbers

Other than Courtney Hole, has anyone in the music biz ever said Dave Grohl is an asshole?

Okay, King Buzzo kinda did but anyone other than King Buzzo?

Meanwhile, I would say it's common knowledge that Sammy Hagar is an asshole.

No one under the age of 40 knows who Sammy Hagar is, so it’s about equal. With Sam’s audience rapidly dying out and Grohl’s still being around for another thirty or forty years.

Sam also never had any sort of solo career outside the USA. Foos do stadiums around the world. So now I think about it no it’s nowhere near equal.
