NHL player Johnny Gaudreau and his younger brother were killed Thursday night when they were hit by a suspected drunk driver while riding their bicycle in their home state of New Jersey, police said.
The 31-year-old Gaudreau and his younger brother, Matthew, 29, are Carneys Point, New Jersey, natives and were in the area for their sister Katie’s wedding scheduled for Friday in Philadelphia.
I wonder if she’ll take that as a sign from god not to get married.
That poor family plus the groom you know he’s thinking they’ll never look at me the same again.

Yeah brutal. Couldn't believe it when i read the news this morning. He was a big name player as well. Wasn't that long ago when he was second in the scoring race.

Fucking tragic shit.
Makes me feel bad for fantasizing about mowing down those bicyclist assholes who take up the road all dressed like they're doing the Tour de France.

I am a Calgary Flames season ticket holder and had the privilege of watching his whole career live. I just came from the Saddledome where children and families have been crying and leaving flowers for their fallen idol. It really has hit hard here seeing someone you watched grow up and become a member of your community pass so senselessly. This is on par here with the city of LA losing Koby Bryant . So please show some respect for them . Your jokes are not warranted or in the least bit funny.
RIP Johnny Hockey .

Chillax, nitemunches.
Kobe Bryant was my favourite rapist of all times, so much that I even spell his name rite.
I don't give a shit about your season tickets, though, both him AND his brother dying is a tragedy. Mathew mattered too, you know.
I hope they get the guy who did it.

"Their bicycle"? Was it a tandem bike? I didn't think they made those anymore. Even tym ditched his training wheels to get an eBike from a company with good customer service.

Live in Columbus but not a hockey fan. Sitting in an airport in Tokyo my wife read this to me. Since I don't follow the Blue Jackets, I didn't know the fella, but my brain immediately went to killing someone by drunk driving should be a death penalty crime. And, tragic in any situation, but here these guys are in Jersey to celebrate a marriage and now several families are dealing with pure hell.
When I saw the murderer's mug shot, I wasn't surprised in the least. Looks like a fucking retard redneck.
