Honestly, I don't use a lot of the benefits myself! I just like the $$$ that goes into my brokerage account. I opened my first trading account with Schwab when I was 18, and I've had everything with them (savings, checking, trading, investment accounts) for a long time now. It's just nice having everything together under one umbrella.

American Express Gold

I probably coulda gone for Platinum once upon a time but other than bulk buying tickets and racking up points pre-pandemic it doesn't really matter, spend very little on anything.

Blue Cash only works if you pay off the balance every month, the same as any AMEX card.

I have one card, Apple. Pay in full each month. I quit using a debit card a few years ago after a couple of skimming incidents. The bank was great about replacing the $ while they investigated, but why deal with that? No bank account behind a credit card, and it is easier to resolve issues.

I have 3 cards of my own. Capital One Venture and Capital One Quicksilver.
Quicksilver is cash back, it's about $20.00 a month that I just credit my card with.
The Venture card is different, it's travel miles. That didn't work out well, however, you can cash in your miles to pay your bill, same as the Quicksilver.
I also have a BofA Visa, that used to be 3% cash back on gas, 2% on groceries, and 1% on everything else.
However, my company now pays for my gas, on my AMEX business card. So I switched it to 3% on dining.
