I look at someone like Gene Simmons and say what you will about him, he's very smart and rich. In life, I know women always dig musicians because they play the guitar or sing or whatever. You don't have to be rich, nice for the most part, to do well with women.

Gene Simmons hads been married to Shannon for quite some time. She's def very attractive and I bet a good mother( kids seem like grounded people..I hope). Genes not stupid as far as who he chooses to marry. Can anyone tell me: Shannon once dated- actaully dated- Hugh Heffner! Great magazine once upon a time, but the guy was such a scumbag on several levels. Shannon seems like a smart woman. How could she go from dating someone like Hef of all people, to ending up with Gene( who behind the mask is a very loving man). Can a woman even after all this time, and be in actual love with a man, once the woan knows she has a nest egg waiting for her whenever you feel like divorcing him? Is it real love that they have between each other, besides the money aspect? I don't get it. Do they really love each other or is it more a transactional thing? Just wondering. For you guitarists, especially were you ever with a woman who, in the back of your mind, only really loves you because you play guitar or can get her into clubs or good blow, or whatever the kids are up to these days.

P.S. I mean this sincerely. Please try not to piss all over my question unless you have a funny comback. Not just a sarcastic one.

Shannon was also in a lot of soft-core stuff...or so I've heard.

You need hobbies. If you have some, you need more hobbies with the things you wonder and fantasize about. Did you ever start your podcast or find a job yet?

"These days" women could sell plasma and make more money than relying on any "guitarist" that posts on these forums for anything.

I can understand 60 year old Gene marrying the mother of his kids after more than 20 years together. Especially if she didn't mind him banging sluts on tour in the 80s and 90s.

What I can't understand is guys like Vince Neil and Tommy Lee who chose to marry when in their early 20s and in a signed, hard touring and hard partying band on the way up. Yeah, exactly when you should start thinking about the quiet family life. Maybe twice divorced Mick Mars was their role model back then.

Maybe being a Mother stabilizes her as a parent. I don't know what it is like to be a parent, so I wouldn't know on that.
