Weird house rules you had as a kid?

Post by ParaDime77 »

I’m talking about house rules you took as gospel according to your parents when you were growing up.

- Any fast food wrappers, bags or cups had to be placed in the garage garbage and never the house. “It’s going to stink the house up!”

- Never wipe your hands on the decorative towels in mom’s bathroom. Use the regular hand towel placed by the sink.

- Friends are not allowed sodas from the garage fridge. Even on hot days.

Don’t hide my naked girlfriend in my closet when my dad comes home from work early.

child of the 70's..had a pretty messed up life. lived with grandparents. I will save u some details but we had hard plastic carpet runners through out the house. my grandmother, her brother died and left her a brand new white nice softa that was in the main living room. no one was allowed to sit on it. For years. Seriously. and when the house burnt down that sofa was ruined anyway from the fire, smoke and water damage.
we weren't allowed to cross the street even at 14 years old. Being locked in closets and chifforobes was normal life. I got more.. I thought everyone was treated that way..

I'm glad you were able to finally get out of the closet.

Never understood why someone would want rat as a pet

When your childhood is better than trip to Disneyland(and an adult) filled with WWF tv and events- Showtime Lakers always on- Santa always being awesome(child and adult)..its pretty cool
Chiffarobe - ya I googled that also..fun!
Cliff - Cheers! 10
Cliffhanger- movie 10

Having a pet turkey like The Gobbledy Gooker would have been better.
