Rate some streaming series recommendations

Since the movie thread is helpful, maybe a series thread would be. I don't mean Seinfeld and Friends. Most of the stuff I binge-watch comes from word of mouth. I'm horrible at finding good stuff by surfing Netflix/Max/Prime/Apple+.
- Severance (10/10) (Apple+) - there was already a short thread on this series. Two seasons available now.
- Silo (7/10) (Apple+) - stars Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Robbins. Dystopian show where it currently seems that what remains of humanity lives in underground silos the height/depth of 4 Empire State Buildings. Who built them, what happened to make them necessary, lies to keep the "city" in line. I dig it.
- Reacher - (8/10) (Prime) - if you like the Reacher books, the series is pretty true to the books and violence. Alan Ritchson IS Reacher. Tom Cruise in the movies was not.
- Black Mirror (Netflix) - now on S7 I think. These scifi/dark/tech anthologies have gotten progressively worse over the years. Based on short stories and scripts by Charlie Brooker. Each season is 6 or less episodes, so I ride them out, and there are always at least a couple good ones in the season.

The 1st season of reacher was great (9 out of 10)! Second season whilst watchable was a notable decline (6 out of 10). 3rd season a return to form?
I've watched a couple of black mirror episodes. One of them had the prime Minister having to shag a pig on live TV to save the princess. It was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen on TV (1 out of 10). I recall watching another episode about dating in the future which was okay (5 out of 10).

Reacher is Reacher. It's like a Jason Statham movie. Fun to watch but dumb-fun. I like that shit when not in the mood for something cerebral.
Black Mirror - mileage varies since each episode is a different story with different actors. The first episode of the current season is about a woman with a brain tumor who is in a coma (permanently). Some amazing new tech can replicate that part of the brain in the cloud and send it back to you, thus saving your life. But you get into the stuff of today with subscriptions, tiers of subscriptions, the fucked up state of healthcare, etc. Pretty bleak and relatable.

Robert Guillaume was top-shelf comedy. Never watched it. Was there a black midget on the show?

Isn’t every series “streaming” now?
Well, yeah, technically. I meant series made for Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Apple - not general network and cable that yes, is mainly also streamed.

Any old detective show from the 70s works for me. Cannon, Mannix, Barnaby Jones, Kojak, etc., all of which are available for streaming.
Forgot Mission Impossible. Incredible show.

Yes! I loved them all!
Even earlier in the 60's, like Dragnet, Adam-12!
Columbo and Baretta were great too, but I guess Robert Blake lost a little credibility when he allegedly shot his wife.
I say allegedly, because he was acquitted, bit I'm pretty sure he did it.
I liked the show though!

I’m re-watching YOU on Netflix.
I do that a lot actually. Re-watch or re-listen to the catalog before watching the new season new album.
Cobra Kai of course, the first 2 seasons in particular before it became a Netflix show although it was still good.
I watched and liked Landman. The hot ex wife and daughter steal the show. I should re watch because I don’t remember the actual storyline at all!

Beef on Netflix is one of the best series I've ever seen. 10/10
DonJuan is accurate re: Cobra Kai. First two seasons are shockingly good. After that, kinda corny but still worth following. Became more of a teen show, less about a middle-aged failure. (I still haven't seen the last season though.) Overall, I'd give it a 6/10. First two seasons: 8 or 9.
Currently catching up on The White Lotus (Max). Oh shit, dude. 10/10. Amazing writing.
The old lady and I paused The Righteous Gemstones (also Max), we only got to the beginning of season 3. That has to be a solid 9, just a hair away from 10.
We also started watching 9-1-1 (Hulu), which is either a 1 or a 10, sometimes in the same episode--sometimes in the same scene. It's neckbreaking how much that show goes from "This is a very watchable procedural drama" to "The people who write this are mentally ill."

It’s remarkable when I think of how many years PurpleIdiot has spent trying to get my attention, frequently calling me gay at the same time! (Time to change the nym again, Purp!)
Truly nothing between the ears. Hillbilly goober, 1000%.

I tried Cobra Kai a couple years ago, but dropped it after the first season. Like you, it felt like it gradually became a teen series.
White Lotus is on my list, but idk if I’ll get to it.
Right now, I’m only watching the NBA playoffs. I’ll get into something new next month.

I’d suggest American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden on Netflix. It’s only three episodes so it’s a quick watch.

Clarkson's Farm on Prime. Season 4 just started. Might watch season 6 of Brassic after it.

Started Succession last night. I know it was a 4 season and done series. Liking it so far. I remember it winning a bunch of awards over the last several years.

The Gilded Age. Loved Downtown Abbey. This is a brilliant drama period from the same creator. 9 out of 10.
Justified: first two seasons 9 out of 10. Now on the 4th season. There was a drop off with the 3rd season. 4th season a bit better. Its 6 seasons in total. Seems like one of those shows that will be solid throughout but the first 2 seasons stand out. I just assume this is what keyofgee's life is like in Kentucky.

My picks:
Mobland - basically a Sopranos of London, really good cast
The Pitt - Amazing show and I rarely like doctor shows
The Diplomat - Political thriller type show and Kerri Russell is hot AF
Landman - Billy Bob Thornton is sooo good in this one
Somebody mentioned the Osama bin Laden Netflix show, that was really good as well but it's more of a 3 part documentary.
