Is it me or does Sludge seem to be missing something with Mojo only popping in here and there?
The vibes are off.

Some major "Tokkin' with Dokken" flirtation with that title.

this is why getting an important, challenging job inst worth it. If you're just wasting your day away, you can be more productive sludging.

I still look pretty much every day, even if I don't post. My time is definitely more precious, these days. I just got off three weeks of a six days a week, 14 hours a day schedule, with one of those days being a 21 hour day, doing the most insane shit of my career, thus far. Starting yesterday, I'm back on five eights, so I'm getting some semblance of a life back.

I hope you are an hourly corrections officer! I'm sure you are, I think they all are.Mojo wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 8:37 am I still look pretty much every day, even if I don't post. And how does your overtime work?
In CA, anything over 8 hours a day is overtime. It does not matter if you don't work 40 hours in a week, anything over 8 hours a day is overtime. Anything over 12 hours a day is double time.

Yeah I miss the days when he was renting units out for gay marines and giving them Judas Priest records.HueyRamone wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 9:44 am this is why getting an important, challenging job inst worth it. If you're just wasting your day away, you can be more productive sludging.

Yeah, we’re hourly. I think it’s lieutenants and up who are salaried and I’m just a Corporal. For us, it’s anything over 40 hours a week. Anything after that is time and a half. Most prisons are on 12 hour shifts, so it would be really nice if it were anything over 8. Alas, it is not.Metal Sludge wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 5:59 pm I hope you are an hourly corrections officer! I got 63 and 57 hours of OT, respectively, on my last two checks, so that was nice, even if it’s absolutely working yourself into the ground.
