Rolex
Anyone have any kind of hookups or can direct me to someone that can get me a Rolex Submariner?
I want new.
All I want is a Submariner with date with the black face. What I want new is like $10650.
I can get used online for 9K range.
Any hair metal watch sellers on here?
Thanks!

Casio -Pac Man watch looks cool
First thing I remember buying as a kid was Pac Man watch- you could play the game on the watch
I recommend get an arcade watch now if they make them-

Re: Rolex
You don’t buy watch to tell time
You have watch to look cool or play Donkey Kong on them
You buy Swatch at any age to look cool
Why do you need to know the exact time anyway

Watches are so old-fashioned. Just check your iPhone like everyone else does. Maybe get an Apple Watch if you absolutely have to have one.

I have a Garmin, it's for sport geeks. I mainly use it for biking, but it's waterproof to 100 meters so I can easily swim with it (I've done open water swimming with no issues)
The Submariner is a dive watch, it's good to 300 meters. Are you planning on putting it to the test, or is just for the bling factor??

Unless you are a wealthy dude where luxury brands are as common to you as shopping at Target, you look like a wannabe with a Rolex or LV belt or whatever. I bought a Fossil automatic watch 30 years ago, and it still runs like a beast. It cost about $125. I have a couple other even cheaper watches that have been working perfect for years. It's your cash.

Maybe forget about the watch and hire an interior decorator for your kitchen so Sleek doesnt goof on you?
LA Glam's PacMan watch sounds pretty cool, I'd look into that. So far, Rolex has never had a watch with the capability to play Donkey Kong, which is strange, because other watchmakers have been able to do this for about 40 years. Rolex's innovation must be very stale.

Timeless >> Luxury. I don't go for trends or styles that have a finite life. A lot of luxury brands cater to a "season." Idc how people spend their cash though. I'm waiting to see how many Sludgers end up shelling out a grand for KISS Avatar concert tix.

Re: Rolex
Some of my relatives got into a fight recently over a Rolex, as my aunt died without a will, and all of them thought they should be getting the Rolex.
Eventually, her daughter got it, as it should be.
Can't blame them. Would have loved to gotten my hands on it too.
Point being is that Rolex's are incredibly expensive, like a Vuitton or Chanel purse, and owning one means either you are rich, or came into a nice chunk of money recently.

I have a Louis Vuitton wallet/card holder thing and it’s nice. It was probably like $400ish I’ve had it for like 8 or 9 years and its used daily and still looks brand new

To each their own. Louis Vuitton owns Chrome Hearts and has a somewhat hypebeast-esque aesthetic. Not my style. If I'm going to spend money on style, I'm more of a Japanese selvedge denim and Thursday Boot guy, with Mott and Bow/John Henric tees. I'm also into linen items for the summer. I always wondered how folks in India can wear all that shit as hot as it gets, and now I know. Linen is fantastic for the summer.
Leather coats in the winter. Don't care what brand as long as it's good, soft leather.
Watches: Nothing beats Timex retro pieces for their affordability and mid-mod 1970s style. And I also have a fucking Apple Watch Ultra but i'm considering retiring all tech watches. It's redundant to a phone if you aren't into all the fitness monitoring. I
've never had a itch to own a Rolex or anything LV, Gucci, Fendi, Hermes, etc. None of that is my style. Everything I own could have been worn 20 years ago or 20 years from now. Timeless.

Re: Rolex
If you buy Rolex ..you would buy new that’s the point of having one
What’s the point of having used watch?
Get the brand new shiny watch and go to Retro Arcade and play Frogger
Whoever is making the sale should be the hottest youngest chick in the Rolex store. You pay for the experience- not some oldass 70 year old grandpa.
The young girl will automatically interested in you..of course she would like deal on new Mazda
Both of you win.

Those are next level! It is almost like someone took a fisher price watch and made it for grown up white people with to much money.

I used to love pretty watches. I had several of them back in the day. Nothing as fancy as a Rolex, but some pretty nice ones.
But I haven't worn a watch since I got my first cell phone in 1997.
My daughters snatched them all up as they became teenagers, along with all the rest of my jewelry that wasn't actually on my person at the time!

That's something to think about. Expensive requires expensive maintenance. IDK what is recommended for a Rolex, but I imagine taking it to your jeweler annually for cleaning, crystal replacement if needed, etc. exceeds $50. I mentioned having a couple Timexes. If the cheap ones die, I may or may not replace. I don't think I own a watch that I would pay to repair. My car and house are about the only things that fall into that category. I consider clothes/accessories as disposable. Sure, I want them to last but if they don't, I don't care.TravisBicklesMohawk wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 4:15 am I have a $50.00 Mickey Mouse watch that works just fine. Good point. I once brought my Mouse watch to a jeweler to have the battery replaced. He was not amused and didn't even bother charging me for the thing as I had apparently wasted his valuable time.Hatchets Molly wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 4:52 amThat's something to think about. So going forward, I toss the Mouse watch if it dies.
