What beers’ popularity absolutely baffles you?

Me? PBR

Possibly the worst beer ever made. How is this stuff still in existence? How is it even an option in bars? Can you name one redeeming quality of this shit (outside the 70’s jingle)?

Iron City is almost as bad. Thankfully, it’s not a national beer.

I was at the Star Bar in Atlanta and this dude w/ a wide brim cowboy hat was drinking a Long Star and offered to buy me one. I asked why Lone Star and he went on to say, "I was driving out of (insert small town in Texas) and stopped to help a group of Mexican's with a broke down pickup truck. I walked up and those poor bastards were sitting on the side of the road in the heat with nothing but a case full of Lone Star. I couldn't get their truck working, but damn were they the funniest sons of bitches, so here's to those Mexican's", and did a toast. I then dank Lone Star for the next few months and told the same story. Sucked with the accent though.

Another vote. I usually drink mixed drinks, but when I want a beer, it's something beer snobs call water (like a Coors Light). My brother-in-law drinks the nastiest IPAs in flavors and other nonsense. He acts like it puts him above working-class beers.

I like almost all beer from shit domestic US Beers to the fanciest IPAs... Cherry Wheat tastes like cough medicine. Horrible. I fuck around with NA beers occasionally if I have to drive or on week nights - Michelob 0% tastes like shit. Never buy it even if you have horrible taste.

Lonestar is horrendous. I had my first one at 17 in TX while visiting relatives. My dad had always raved about it. Absolute swill. I guess that’s why none of my relatives that actually lived there drank it.

anything I can see through, other than the occasional Heineken. I prefer IPAs but I Hate (with a capital H) beer culture. I feel no need to comment on what anyone else drinks and want the same courtesy in return. It's a fucking drink preference, not a lifestyle.
