Al Qaeda works out to be the best invention that the weapon and security industry could have wished for. Al Qaeda is used to illegally kill a few hundred thousand of Iraqi's who had nothing to do with 9/11 it is used to ruin the hospitality industry and to record the citizens each and every move. Only the use of the word Al Qaeda means that the US deficit will rise immediately. Al Qaeda attacks were monstrous, but I am not sure what is worse. The mass murder that Al Qaeda (CIA) carried out or the restrictions on human freedom and human rights and the Xenophobic war machine that followed.

Of all 'conspiracy' theories the most outrageous one is that of Bush:

19 cavemen hardly able to fly small plane hijack 4 big sophisticated planes,
fool NORAD (doing exercise 'hijacking planes hitting buildings') and
hit with movie-like precision 3 of the most watched objects in the US.

BTW, NORAD was grounded on 911 first time in history... what a 'lucky' coincidence and before day was over, Rumsfeld shocked even Colin Powell by saying US must go after IRAQ.
