Lie #1: the federal govt ignores food and energy prices when calculating inflation.
The headline inflation number reported every month includes food and energy. The labor department also reports "core inflation" which excludes food and energy.
Lie #2: Food and energy prices are soaring.
Core inflation which excludes food and energy is higher than headline inflation. Once you include food and energy, you have a lower, not higher, rate of inflation.

What RP is talking about is in relation to the REAL inflation rate (which nobody knows for sure exactly what it is right now), not the OFFICIAL inflation rate, which is being ARTIFICIALLY manipulated. Nor is RP distinguishing between the core or headline (OFFICIAL) inflation rates in his comments above.
