Genius,

I was merely pointing out how things aren't "better" (job-wise) - just short of 3 years, LATER.

I'm not the one in denial.

Hope and Excuses.

What I also learned from your post is that if Obama is elected again, six years from now, you'll still be blaming Bush for all of Obama's failed policies. That's great.

You're only for Obama because he's half white.
Your criticism of Cain in this thread is only because he's a real black man.
The US unemployment rate dropped to 8.6% after 315,000 Americans gave up looking for work and no longer count as unemployed. More than half the new jobs were in retail or tempory services industry.
USA Today reported:

The unemployment rate fell last month to its lowest level in more than two and a half years, as employers stepped up hiring in response to the slowly improving economy.

The Labor Department says the unemployment rate dropped sharply to 8.6% last month, from 9% in October. The rate hasn’t been that low since March 2009, during the depths of the recession.

Employers added 120,000 jobs last month. And the previous two months were revised up to show that 72,000 more jobs added — the fourth straight month the government revised prior months higher.

Still, one reason the unemployment rate fell so much was because roughly 315,000 people gave up looking for work and were no longer counted as unemployed.http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2011/12 ... -for-work/

Good points Machado.

People forget an economic plan can take a long time to work. Even nobel prize winning economist Paul Krugman said it can 5+ years to turn the economy around which is longer than a presidential term!

Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain told supporters Saturday that he is suspending his presidential campaign, which has become hobbled in recent weeks by allegations of sexual harassment and an Atlanta woman's claim that they carried on a 13-year affair.

He introduced his "Plan B" -- "continue to be a voice for the people" -- as he announced a new website, TheCainSolutions.com.

actually the GOP are more hypocrites, as they preach family values, then many of them are caught in sexual situations, many of which are gay, yet they denounce gay marriage and gay rights. Or are on their 3rd wife (Newit)

There are flaws in both parties.

What will be interesting is the generation of 18-35 year old of today. To see how someone from this up and coming age group will be in a few short election cycles from now and if they run for elected office at State or Federal level.

I mean this the Generation X - Today generation, that are part of the YouTube, Facebook, Girls Gone Wild, JackAss, YouPorn, Twitter, OWS/99%, over paid for school/worthless degrees, watched parents lose pensions after 25+ years for the company, lost wages, lost health care, loyalty = nothing, union/anti-union, tea party, drive-thru, obese, over eating, bad diet, prescription pills, drugs, video game, didn't play outside much, can't find Iraq on a map, will play out.

I mean it would be refreshing on one hand if someone from this age group in 10+ years says "I had a great time in college, had 3-ways, snorted coke off a whores ass, while her sister blew me, I smoked weed everyday, cheated on 1 exam, filmed myself banging my gf w/o her constent, posted on YouPorn and sold stolen goods on EBay.

It would be great if someone was that honest, and then moves on instead of this trickle/drip faucet of scandals that pop up.

One thing I think most agree with, the left and right agrees weed should be legalized, taxed and sold. :)

That has always been one thing that has puzzled me about politicians. If you know you have skeletons in the closet, things that may turn off voters or make you look like a completely hypocrite or a scumbag, come out with it. Say you made a mistake, you were young, you regret, etc, but be honest. Most Americans I know appreciate honesty.
It's going to come out eventually when someone digs enough or your former partner/friend/co-worker/mistress spills it.

I just wonder what old Herm's wife had to say about his sending this broad money for 13 years behind her back?

Unemployment up. Deficit up. Debt up. Poverty rate up. Median income down. Health insurance premiums up. Inflation rate up. Food stamp usage up. Average price of a single family home down. Price of gas up.
Can you understand just how much Obama policies has made things worse?

You want to believe something and I have chosen not to drink the same kool aid.
So he said that, big deal. Is he a liar? Does that make his less of a president?
Bush Jr. lied to the American public year after year. And that is why this country is in the mess they are currently in.
From the bank, to wall st to corruption inside of Washington.
People who are guilty claim they are innocent and at the same time point the finger to the person sitting next to them.

Obama probably never would have imagined how much of a "mess" Bush left this country in when he took office.
Obama might have had great expectations and they can still be full-filled, even if that takes more than 3 yrs.
Isn't the goal to fix the mess or is the goal to have a Republican president be elected and be the hero?
The problem with most of this country is, they want to believe "there choice" should save the day and be the hero, instead showing support behind the person in the present that can save this country!

Race is a huge factor. Some of these white men who dislike Obama with a passion do so because the man is black.
Plain and simple.
You can try to sugarcoat that or try to ignore the situation, but there are so many "white conservatives" who are still upset that a Black man is living inside the White House.
Obama could cure cancer and these "white conservatives" would still complain about a black man being a hero.

Wait a minute here. In a thread about a black man running for President, and the liberals gloating and jumping for joy at his downfall, well, talk about racism.
You friggin liberals couldn't stand the thought of a conservative black man getting anywhere near the White House. I mean after all, that would just make the democrats look like fools.
At least the Republicans were willing to vote for a full black man. The democrats could only ease their conscience by voting for the half white guy.
