The "mess" Bush left this country in is so large, it has taken this many years and will take additional years to correct the "mess".
Does that make sense to you? Can you understand just how much of a "mess" Bush left when he left office?
For something to get better, it has to be going in a positve way, right? RIGHT?
Unemployment up. Deficit up. Debt up. Poverty rate up. Median income down. Health insurance premiums up. Inflation rate up. Food stamp usage up. Average price of a single family home down. Price of gas up.
Can you understand just how much Obama policies has made things worse?
Why do you refuse to accept Barack Obama's own words. He said if you elected him, he would solve this countries problems in less than three years.

Plain and simple.
You can try to sugarcoat that or try to ignore the situation, but there are so many "white conservatives" who are still upset that a Black man is living inside the White House.
Obama could cure cancer and these "white conservatives" would still complain about a black man being a hero.
You friggin liberals couldn't stand the thought of a conservative black man getting anywhere near the White House. I mean after all, that would just make the democrats look like fools.
At least the Republicans were willing to vote for a full black man. The democrats could only ease their conscience by voting for the half white guy.
there was no way the GOP would have let Cain be the front runner. Word has it, that the GOP (not the dems) were behind his problems and scandals that took him down.
PS- 9-9-9 may sound good as a slogan, but plug the numbers into a basic excel spreadsheet and the plan is fucked from the start.
I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. These two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

If you want proof that the GOP would no stand for Cain to be the front runner, just look at who the GOP is backing "this week".gtrjay wrote:Nevermind wrote:Wait a minute here. NEWT!
I rest my case.
Here is a recycled politician who is unqualified for the job.
The GOP is so desperate, they have turned back the clock and reached down to the bottom of the barrel for the whitest white man in politics.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. He was never considered seriously by the neo-cons. He was just thrown out there by them to make them look less racist and for a few of their obnoxious pundits like Rush to play the race card. Which is laughable.

The last thing this once great country needs is an "old man", career politician" as President.
His past has controversy and resignations written all over it.
C'mon now, the guy should retire somewhere in the Hamptons and
step aside.
The GOP must be very desperate and frantically trying to push this man towards the top of the ladder.

I've already told you what amateur hour at the White House gets you. I'll repost it again. Unemployment up. Deficit up. Debt up. Poverty rate up. Health insurance premiums up. Inflation rate up. Food stamp usage up. Average price of a single family home down. Price of gas up.
And you, you want four more years of that? Can this country survive with four more years of failed Obama policies?
You should at least have the decency to ask that Obama not seek a second term. I agree with Barack Obama. We're not better off than we were before he took office.

This country can rebound with 4 more years of Obama. The worst might be over and perhaps his leadership will equal some prosperity around here.
His presence in the White House might reverse some of the numbers/stats/trends that Bush left behind.
Do you honesty think someone like Newt or any GOP candidate can
turn this country around?

Nice try.
Except for 8 years the former Governor (his only legally elected office held) Bush ran up the credit card bill in the name of 2 wars and took his revenue stream (the taxes) and cut them for the 1%.
Sure, there was some trickle down to the middle class (i.e. - $5,000 dependent care credit, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) rules, Roth IRA) but that's just to distract us as to what the 1% are NOT paying.
So he went on a shopping spree in the name of Iraq and Halliburton, kept doing a balance transfer on the debt until 2009 when blackie mcblack took over.
So yeah, not everything is Bush's fault. But any President (including McCain if he were to win in 08') would have HUGE issues. Don't 4get it was Bush that bailed out Wall St and GM/Chrysler. Then he handed it off to Obama in Jan 09'.
So don't invade a country that NEVER attacked us on 9/11 (Iraq) w/o a plan to pay for it, and then cut off your revenue source (taxes).

60 Minutes aired a very informative interview with a former Lobbyist several weeks ago. Find that online and come back here with your feedback.
