Except for 8 years the former Governor (his only legally elected office held) Bush ran up the credit card bill in the name of 2 wars and took his revenue stream (the taxes) and cut them for the 1%.

Sure, there was some trickle down to the middle class (i.e. - $5,000 dependent care credit, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) rules, Roth IRA) but that's just to distract us as to what the 1% are NOT paying.


So he went on a shopping spree in the name of Iraq and Halliburton, kept doing a balance transfer on the debt until 2009 when blackie mcblack took over.

So yeah, not everything is Bush's fault. But any President (including McCain if he were to win in 08') would have HUGE issues. Don't 4get it was Bush that bailed out Wall St and GM/Chrysler. Then he handed it off to Obama in Jan 09'.
