She's raking in the bucks...and as long as she wants the spotlight...I mean, really, it isn''t as though she's retired to her home sweet home in Wasilla canning moosemeat, now is it...as long as she wants the spotlight, she'll get the pushback. After all, it wasn't as though she was coming to Turlock to sign up a kid or anything. She was coming to give a speech and being paid for it.

I heard about this....isn't all muckraking, on both sides really just metaphorical dumpster diving anyway? This time, it was literal. It's a bit more than just Palin, though.

I wasn't referring to You being outraged, I was referring to all the people who are bitching about her flying first class etc etc and to the idiots who thought this was big enough of a story to put it on the front page. It makes perfect sense to dislike her for the reason You gave.

I find the whole Palin bashing thing fascinating as hell, it's hard for me to fathom how much hatred some people have for this woman. I've read people say they'd become a terrorist if she were ever elected, and say they hope she dies, I just don't see the reason for that kind of hatred. I personally hope she never comes close to the whitehouse but damn.

Because she's unbelievably divisive. She can't open her mouth without lying ("death panels"), whining about liberals or trying to pit people against each other ("real America vs. fake America"). I have no trouble admitting I think she's a dumb, annoying slag. And I would love for the Republicans to nominate her in 2012 (which I think is a distinct possibility) and lose in a landslide.

Well that's the first problem with this bitch right there...Call me crazy, but I would prefer my politicians to be intellectuals striving for the betterment of our people and not celebrities out for themsleves, looking to get as much face time as possible and lining their pockets while they are at it....Anybody who has not seen the movie Idiocracy needs to hit up Netflix right now...We are alot closer to that reality than most people realize....

I would be incredibly interested in hearing what current politician you consider to be an intellectual.

I have no problem with Palin being in the public eye as a celebrity, and I certainly don't begrudge her making a buck for a speaking engagement. As long as she refrains from seeking public office of any kind I'm okay with her.

I can't stand the Young Turks. Their whole operation looks so amateurish. I don't see the point of criticizing what's on her "tour rider" either. All that stuff is privately funded as far as I can tell, so I don't get the big deal. That being said, if you listen to her rhetoric it isn't suprising to me that she inspires such hate, because that's what she's trying to do, pit the extreme right wing against the extreme left wing and then laugh all the way to the bank as the war of words escalates.

The problem with Palin is simply that she is as annoying as all fuck...Politics aside, if she was reading me the daily special's at a Shoneys I would want to grab her by the head and slam it in to the buffet repeatedly...
