According to yesterday's Wall St Journal, the Gov of Miss has pretty much been passe about the whole thing and is (allegedly) taking BP's side on the issue.
I've yet to hear much from the leaders in Texas, Alabama, or georgia, who are close enough to have their rivers infected(Not to mention all the states along the Mississippi river)

Not really. The Palin story, as horrifying as it is, really has yet to be played out.
