That's not what the thread title said. You're just like Obama in the senate. You're voting present in this thread.

Which is better than being Bush in the Air National Guard.
Bush's surrogate, McCain, lost the last election and millions of Republicans are throwing him under the bus to deflect the blame from the Republican doctrine he faithfully followed. He wouldn't win this one, either.

In every presidential election you have more choices than the two major parties. Just like a republican, you're being exclusionary. Not only that, but Bush served two terms so he wouldn't even be able to run.
What a fucking stupid question.
I'll play along. Obama. They're almost the same, anyway.

I didn't ask the question. I just told you that you didn't respond to it. Then you say you'll play along. Well that's what the fuck you were supposed to do in the first place.

The better question would be if Biden has to have Obama included.

Is this your way of saying there isn't a current GOP member you'd consider?
If you are looking back at Bush with fondness...well that's just sad.

Possibly. Obama doesn't have an easy scape goat. Depending on what you choose to believe, Bush might have. I don't know how much truth there is to the puppetmaster theory, but the guy that ran the country for 8 years wasn't the same guy that ran the state of Texas. Not even close.

By my count, we have at least two confirmed liberals that have bowed out rather than choosing Obama over Bush. That's a bit telling to me. I don't know what that portends for 2012, but, I do think president Obama is not as popular now as he once was. The GOP could win it back depending on who they ran. Palin? No fucking chance. A more moderate Republican? I'd call it very, very possible, even probable at this point. A one and done is a very strong possibilitry for th saviour.

The reason some people(not just here but everywhere) are bowing out is because reality is finally starting to set in. Instead of the "hope" and "change" people drooled over, they essentially got a third Bush term instead. Some still think its change, but that has more to do with the stupidity of the public at large and not a reflection on him.
The Obama presidency will go down in history as one of the most bizarre. He runs on a mantra of change, continues the policies of his predecessor, has a huge majority in both houses, cant get enough support from his own party to really do much of anything and the people who supported these policies the previous eight years wont support him because he has a D next to his name. The only support he gets on these policies is from a public who hated the policies in 2000-2008. The funny thing is that he could have got more votes in the general election running as a republican, and would certainly have had more congressional support had he done so.
He was a lame duck the moment he took the oath of office.
All this "left wing, ultra liberal socialist" crap people spew is just that...crap. The U.S. has always had a foot in the pool of socialism, but anyone who thinks this guy is taking us over the cliff of socialism doesn't even know what the word means. We're actually closer to a fascist state which is pretty much the exact opposite of socialism.
The people who spew hatred towards this guy should love him. You got Bush again! Be happy! Those loving him should retract all their negative statements towards Bush.
As far as the thread topic goes, I would pick Bush but it doesn't really matter anymore as both parties are now bought off by the same corporations. You want to know what a Palin(or another republican) presidency would look like? Turn on the news or just walk outside. There's your Palin presidency.
The new boss in 2012 is going to be the same as the old boss. All the political arguing on the internet and tv is just a sideshow. It's just people on the same team arguing.

If they run Romney, he'll eat Obama alive.
That is, of course, if Romney can get a debate to happen in a neutral setting, away from Obama's media pals tossing him rainbow softball questions.
If they have the common sense to ask questions about the economy (provided it's still in the shitter) the lecturing lamp post stapler doesn't have a prayer in hell.

If Obama has the common sense to steer the conversation to the ridiculously fuck-tarded stuff Mormons believe, he'll have a cakewalk to re-election.

I'd vote Obama. It looks like he's going to be the final nail in the liberal coffin and it took a poster boy like him to get everybody to put that fantasy to rest.

Who then, considering Bush put the final nail in the conservative coffin?

You should be worried then because liberals didn't build this country. If all liberals left right now all we'd lose is some trashy entertainment on TV and a culture that would rather take a handout than work.

It must suck that you can't send kids to the workhouse anymore and that they actually let niggers and women vote.

Unlike the wholesome shows on Fox?

Where would Walmart, McDonalds, ADM and all those other corporations which collect hundreds of billions in subsidies and other handouts go? A lot of America's biggest welfare queens are on the Fortune 500. It would be a shame to let them go. I'm sure the EU, Japan or China would be kind enough to take them in, though.

When you build a constitution and stuff it full of personal liberty, things like the suffrage movement and racial equality can actually happen.
Today's liberals apparently hate the constitution and politicians have been bought out by the corporate greed of the 60s generation.
That's why the tea party formed and started gaining traction with working people. I don't think its here to stay as a third party but I believe the message will be heard loud and clear when Obama and Co. are voted out of office.

I think it would be a monumental mistake politically for Romney to get the nod in 2012. It will be another Clinton/Dole showdown, with Obama winning. I think Obama will win in 2012 regardless of his lazy performance so far. The Republican party, although strong at the state level, has no national leaders that are worth a damn in a general election. If they get behind someone relatively young, with good experience, and not a straight party line Republican, they may have a shot.
