"As Chairman of the Federal Reserve System from 1987 to 2006, Alan Greenspan both led the over expansion of money and credit that created the bubble that burst and aggressively promoted the view that financial markets are naturally efficient and in no need of regulation."

Fire the useless cunt.

Greenspan Says Congress Should Let Bush's Tax Cuts Lapse

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, whose endorsement of George W. Bush’s 2001 tax cuts helped persuade Congress to pass them, said lawmakers should allow the cuts to expire at the end of the year.

“They should follow the law and let them lapse,” Greenspan said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Conversations with Judy Woodruff,” citing a need for the tax revenue to reduce the federal budget deficit.

Greenspan said reducing the deficit is “going to be far more difficult than anybody imagines” after “a decade of major increases in federal spending and major tax cuts.”

Greenspan, in a telephone conversation after his Bloomberg TV interview was taped, said his position is that all the expiring Bush tax cuts should end, for middle-class and high- income families alike.
Cause is anything will help the economy, it's raising taxes.
Then he says there is "a need for the tax revenue to reduce the federal budget deficit.".
Well here's a crazy idea. Stop spending my fucking money. Democrats spend and spend and then their solution to debt and deficits is to take even more of my money.

Bring the troops back.

Slash Obama care.

Let the tax breaks lapse for a few years.

Impose a "sin tax"

Cut income tax. Actually cut it, not a temporary break.

Institute a "goods and services" tax on all non essential items.

What an idiot! Doesn't Greenspan realize they weren't actually tax cuts because they weren't offset by spending cuts???

The most recent recession can be attributed to Greenspan more than any other single individual. So we should definitely do exactly what he says.

Bernanke is blaming sluggish spending among consumers and businesses, rising unemployment, and tight credit for the slow recovery. He's correct. Right now increasing taxes on anyone is only going to discourage spending by small businesses & consumers and help keep the economy stagnant.

Overspending and decreasing revenues are why the deficit is rising. Even if tax rates were up revenues would still be down because of the recession. More taxes at this point is only going to make the recovery take longer. How about cutting spending instead?

Could you be any more predictable? You've posted that in like 10 different threads so far, even when I'm nowhere to be found.

It's also amusing to consider that every time you see someone smarter than yourself use the term "tax cuts", you're reminded of what a pompous jackass you are.

That's because it is arguably the most ridiculous thing anyone has ever said in the history of the internet.

Yes Ugmo, we get it - you're a very dumb human who doesn't understand the role that advisers play, so you fall for buzz words.

Just for good measure >

Even dumber than when you claimed the sugar industry and the pharmaceutical industry are in collusion to bilk Americans? I think not, jackass.

Also, you keep posting that quote like you think it's supposed to be an instant game-changer that's going to make me run away in embarrassment, when in fact I stand by it 100 percent.

And now I look forward to you posting it again in another 10 threads, because that's how obsessed you are with me.

Yet, the moment I showed you that the biggest drug company hired the top spin man from one of the biggest purveyors of poison, you went off the rails and avoided the fact like you would a hooker with a cold sore.

And yes, far dumber. That's why people laughed their asses off at that utterly retarded claim and would explain why you more or less vanished for almost a month.

Of course you do. That's why, after being ridiculed, you vanished for almost a month, talking only about soccer.

Matt, your music isn't considered memorable because it's not memorable.

It's good, but so is the music of a lot of bands. Memorable, it is not.

Oh Mattie, Mattie, Mattie. You just played the P-13 card. I'd ask why you think I am "obsessed" with you, but I realize you're far too stupid to explain.

Take a shot, though, because it might be amusing.
