I agree with the death penalty in principle but there are too many flaws in the legal system for me to support it as policy. The majority of people on death row deserve to be there but I'm sure a few innocent people have been executed.

I agree but I also like the way things are. That being if you have enough dinero you can get away with anything!

1. I agree! Except the chair is a waste of time and money!

2. We need the Electric Sofa! Easily 3-4 people at a time!

3. We should also consider putting defence lawyers to death with their murdering clients as well!

I would support the reinstitution of death by hanging. I would also support the reinstitution of death by firing squad.

Why? Dead is dead. Do you get extra satisfaction out of making sure the condemned suffers more in the process?

That's not justice. It's vengeance. I'm glad that the majority don't agree with you.

Keep telling yourself that.

(Vengeance and justice often go hand in hand.)

Im happy to say that even our state, that kills more people than anyplace else in the country is above that type of thinking, so, I don't really need to keep telling myself anything thanks. You keep hoping for it though if it makes you feel better.

The Constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment. Why do you hate the Constitution? It's unAmerican.

Death by hanging and/or firing squad is neither cruel nor unusual.

I hear drawing and quartering, crucifixion and disembowlment are entertaining too. If you're gonna open that door, may as well go all in.

1. Not that I would ever thread jack a topic but we don't have a terrible illegal alien problem except maybe we a need a couple more river crossers over here.

2. Some bodies gotta crawl on top of those roof's during a solid 100 degree Texas summer.

3. We also need to remember that when the bill of rights was written punishments were more painful but considered acceptable to people at the time.

Not to everybody. If our nation's founding fathers would have been captured by the British, they would have been hung, emasculated then drawn and quartered. I can understand why they would have an issue with cruel and unusual punishment.

Die hard republican here. I live in TX and own MANY shares in corporations. I don't want my Taco Bell's upping our prices to give our competitors the advantage by getting rid of illegal immigrants. They put dinero in my pantolones vaceros so shut the fuck up.
