Ok Obama, let's encourage the world to become more like Indonesia, where some of the (Muslim) masterminds of the Bali bombings are given lighter sentences than people selling weed. Even after they say they have no regrets killing ~50 people and injuring another 100.

I hope you are careful when you shop, and are sure to check that anything from running shoes to seafood comes from Indonesia (though it would be nice if everyone here bought American seafood, especially from Oregon! ).

Because we wouldn't want to think that your feelings about how awful Indonesia is only rise when Obama is involved. The evil Muslim tuna sandwich should give you pause as well.

huh...never knew that. i eat a TON of seafood and i dont ever recall buying or being offered anything from oregon.

a) do you agree Obama was being a clueless dick when he extolled Indonesia as an 'example' for the world to follow?

b) do you have any idea how most of the seafood in SE Asia is produced? they have pools filled seafood. instead of you know CHANGING THE WATER after a few batches.. they just dump increasing amounts of hormones and antibiotics into the cesspools until they are almost completely black (due to the excrement from previous batches of seafood), swarming with oversized prawns. prawns are harvested, more antibiotics are dumped in, and the process begins again.

you couldn't pay me enough to eat seafood from Indonesia/Thailand etc. i have been there (Indonesia) and seen them for myself, otherwise i would be as clueless about the health standards there as most people.

Why thank you! The King Crab comes from AK, though. The Dungeness is different, but even better. Though King Crab does have that HUGE factor going. Dungies run around two pounds..or so. Though an old boyfriend got one nearly ten pounds up in Icy Bay, AK years ago.

We have been buying seafood at the store lately, if I know that it is from the Gulf. Want to show our support for the Gulf fishermen. Good thing the hub likes shrimp. The gulf shrimp is a bit bigger than ours, so I can cook it differently than our smaller guys. Lots of garlic and herbs, peel and eat.

That and the occasional Vietnamese fish. The hub joked that he'd helped create the bomb craters there so it seems decent to buy their fish sometimes, too...after we'd read that the Vietnamese were using some of the bomb craters for fish or shrimp farming now.
