I think that they should release them. If the government doesn't, then Wikileaks (or whoever) probably will anyway, eventually. So, why the hell not right now? :?

I didn't cite anyone as a source for anything. I thought her OPINION on the subject was interesting (agreed with or not), so I posted it.

In case you didn't already know, the president came out and said emphatically that he will NOT release them.

And I said: "If the government doesn't, then Wikileaks (or whoever) probably will anyway, eventually. So, why the hell not right now?"

Pictures of Uday, Qusay and Al-Zarqawi were all released after they got KIA. And pictures of Saddam parading around in his frigging underwear were front page headlines worldwide. So, what's the damn difference now?

Write your elected officials, they're always willing to listen.

I know that when I want pointers on how to seem like even more of a rabble-rousing attention whore, I look to Coulter.

Ann is a great counter weight - I don't agree with her much but when I listen to some of the extreme shit from the other side I'm thankful there are extreme Aholes on the other side as well like Ann - ideally something towards the middle wins out....if only........

First of all, different President making the call. Second, the Husseins were not exactly popular in the Arab world or the Islamic radical community. They were secular dictators. Look at that minister in Florida; buring the Koran caused the murder of quite a few Europeans in Afghanistan. How many more would be killed if we circulated Bin Laden's death pics? I wanted to see the pics as a confirmation, but when i thought of how many extra American and allied troops would die for our curiosity, suddenly it's not really worth it.

Well, Saddam was strictly Secular. He didn't inspire terrorisim, only terror from his own people. There really was very little to lose in letting the world throw tomatos at him.

Osama Bin Laden...well we are all better off if we never see him, in any form, again. Nobody needs to see his bloody corpse, it won't prove anything to the usual Supernaught idiots of the world, and all it serves to do is stir up anger among the Bin Laden-style lunatics around the world.

And of course, if you hadn't noticed, we have a different, smarter President now.

Enough already, let it go.

I actually liked what the bitch had to say about the 9/11 families...basically "shut the fuck up already."

Couldn't agree more. Yeah it sucks that 4,000 families or so lost loved ones in 9/11, but they don't fucking "own" 9/11, it's a part of life for all Americans. There's still a fucking hole, 10 years later, where that shit went down and it's partly these overbearing "victims'" fault.
