Obama thinks there is an English Embassy in Iran

Coming from a guy who thinks there are 57 states I guess it's to be expected.
I wonder how the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland feels about that.
They probably feel about the same as our Navy Corpsemen felt.

This would be obvious to anyone who didn't have a pediatric psychologist strongly recommend to their parents that they wear a clip-on tie until they were at least 20 years old.

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland? There is no such thing!
Great Britain is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. England also owns Australia and Canada. There is no such thing as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland is a part of Great Britain.

They don\t really "own" canada, nor have they for some time. Since the constitution act of 1982 canada is pretty much as sovreign as it gets.

Wrong. Great Britain refers to the island itself, ie England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland, interestingly enough, is on the north of Ireland.

yes traditionally, but it doesnt work that way anymore. considering the queen has no power over her own country, then she has none over ours. moreover, it is the governor general who is supposed to keep the prime minister in check. he used to be appointed by the queen. Now he is appointed by the PM because times change. Canada is sovereign and has been for some time now.
