King Obama said Afghanistan was the "good" war, so ask him.

A lot of people are pissed that Obama is continuing some of the policies of his predecessor, G.W. Bush. Ironically, most are Republicans.

Doesn't matter the president, these leeches are gonna get theirs, mostly under the guise of "military spending". It's fucking shameful is what it is.

No, most Republicans either publicly praise or offer tacit approval by silence of President Obama's continuance (and escalation) of Bush foreign policy. When principled progressives call out the President's hypocrisy and immorality, they get attacked by Democratic operatives and Obama worshipers as trouble makers. And the libertarian Republican anti-war contingent is called crazy and "isolationist" by the neocon warmonger beltway and think tank apparatus. Whatever happened to the antiwar movement, indeed...

I agree that hanging out in Afghanistan is a good thing. That fucker becomes a full ledge terrorist training base the moment we're gone.

What I don't like is the stuff Obama campaigned against or spoke out against when he was Senator yet fully supports as president.

You know, like the Patriot Act... Which interestingly enough... The Left doesn't seem to have a problem with anymore either since it's a Dem in office. Lord knows... Stepping on the Constitution is okay when a Dem is doing it.

I have a friend who's a Republican. He lost his left leg to cancer when he was only 11 years old. That's completely tragic.

He's gotten free prosthetic legs from the government his entire life (they wear out/break and of course when he was younger he was still growing). I have no problem with this as they would cost him thousands of dollars that he doesn't have.

He is 100% against National Health care. He says the plan won't work and he knows what a pain in the ass it is to get health care from the government because of his own experiences... Okay... but even if it is a gigantic pain in the ass and there was a lot of paper work or a waiting period, he still got his FREE tax payer prosthetic leg from a government health program!

He will not listen to that last part of the argument.

The same people who complained under Bush are complaining under Obama. Once again you create a world that does not exist and find fault with it. You're a joke.

This is the exact kind of bullshit that chafes my ass about republicans. They will yell and scream about other people "taking advantage" of the govt and "getting handouts" but when they need them they will put their hand out so fast I'm surprised they don't dislocate something. And then they try to justify why it is okay for THEM to get the handout but not for others. Ridiculous.

And you know, his hand out was completely legitimate. I have no problem with it. Those prosthetics cost thousands, but the hypocrisy afterwards is kinda amazing.

In the 1930s and 40s: WW2 that's what happened...

In present day: 9/11 happened, among other things....

I wasn't for going into Iraq like W. did but I can't say that I miss Saddam. Obama followed through with the troop reduction, which is what he was suppose to do. It would have been nice to see Guantanamo closed but like the Stones once said, "you can't always get what you want" If the neo-cons were still in the executive branch, we'd probably would of had another surge in Iraq.

Killing bin Laden was the right thing to do and about a decade(or more) over due. He declared war on us, not the other way around. Both Clinton and W. fucked the dog on that.

I wasn't a big fan of Obama helping out the rebels in Libya and I'm a proponent of withdrawing our military presence down in the Middle East. However..and I know the anti-Semites with loath this but I don't feel we should hang Israel out to dry. I would love to severe ties with both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and help or only do business with countries in the region who are friendly to the West, which limits our options immensely. However I'm not sure if that is even realistic or possible.

Okay, enlighten me then on who are the "principled progressives" that you speak of are and how has Obama "escalated" W.'s war? Obama never said or promised that he was Dennis Kucinich. And Newsflash: sometimes, often times, future president's mouths write checks on the campaign trail that their asses can't cash once they get into office. Guantanamo is a perfect example of that. Bill Clinton and national health care is another. Ron Paul is a perfect example of this also. If he ever got elected, he couldn't get half the shit spews on and on about passed.

I don't think you mentioned it but some other armchair quarterback on here did, since when have our politicians not pissed on the Constitution? Everybody acts like the founders and the following generations never did, when in reality, they did all the time when it worked in their party's favor. Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Jackson, all of those guys pissed on the Constitution at one point or another while in office.
