But in Africa this week he is publicly promoting his institute's initiative to prevent and treat cervical cancer. While Bush is following a familiar post-presidential path in supporting humanitarian causes, he would prefer to focus on quiet service, to lead through example and hard work.

More like: Photop...
The kid looks like the British kid when Saddam Hussien tried to play off his being held hostage in Iraq as a "guest."

Bush might end up being like Carter. A shitty President who later turns out to be a pretty damn good humanitarian.

Look, I despise Bush with a white heat...but, he did, even as President, care more about and acted on what went on on the African continent than he was ever given credit for.
Kudos to him for continuing this into his private life.

I'll give you that. Too bad the stammering monkeyturd couldn't give a rat's Hershey squirt about suffering Americans...you know, the people he was actually supposed to govern!

No disagreement from me on the stammering monkeyturd, and believe me, it almost hurts to give Bush any credit for anything.
And while I'm at it, he and especially Cheney and his crew should be before some court somewhere for their incredible bullshit. Oh and while I'm still at it, I'd like to see the words "free market" tattooed on Cheney's forehead....thousands of American troops, not to mention tens of thousands of Iraqis, died so that motherfucker could create a "free market" economy in Iraq. Free, as in, for example, Montesano could seek to presecute Iraqi farmers from saving seeds to replant, even to the point of the farmer's own seeds (not the GM seeds) brought to them by fiat...err I mean freedom and democracy, Yeh!....because "cross-pollination" from GM seeds elsewhere render that farmer's seeds the property of agri-business multi-nationals. This was not decided by the Iraqi people or any lawe they made, but by an American imposed order. That "free market" bullshit. Cheney said how he was happy that the free market had been brought to Iraq. God I hate that fucker.
One of the great tragedies of the Iraq war wa that seed repositories in Iraq prior to our "liberation" were destroyed by the chaos that followed the invasion. And this is the fucking "cradle of civilisation", where farming really got established thousands of years ago. The invasion was followed by the worst blood suking carpertbaggers imaginable, in fact it was the plan.
So, there.....remember I said white heat....

Bush was a terrible president and destroyed our standing in the international community.
If he wants to spend the next few decades working to repair some of that damage, more power to him. I applaud his efforts.

Not doubting what you wrote, but do you have a link so I can look into this? I could find something on the net, but it seems like you read something very comprehensive.

I honestly think he's doing it as an attempt to clean off some of the mud and blood from his "legacy".

I really do believe that Dubya by himself isn't such a bad chap. And he might even mean well.
But, I don't like Dick Cheney. DON'T TRUST HIM AT ALL!
"Monsanto"? Yeah, I heard about them. I trust US corporations even less than I do Cheney.
I heard about the seed business thing too. I think that was total bullshit, if true. (Even though I am glad that the Iraqis are rid of Saddam, Uday and Qusay, The Ba'ath Party, Mukhabarat etc.)

Uh, huh.
"Senior American officials suggested that it could take some time to get past the strident anti-American rhetoric that characterized Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin’s politicking in recent months, including his strangely personal allegation that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was trying to stoke political unrest in Russia."

Gee, that's not very diplomatic of O's administration.
