HORRIBLE choice. This will likely seal a 2nd term for Obama.

I don't know. Quayle didn't stop Bush from winning the first time and even though Palin was a joke, there was no way McCain was going to beat Obama.RATTrules wrote:HORRIBLE choice. This will likely seal a 2nd term for Obama.

The problem with Ryan is he doesn't expand the GOP base any and that's what they need! He just doubles down on the crazy right wing nuts in the GOP!brotherplanet wrote:I don't know. The one thing the dems got going now is their ability to attack Ryan on a budget proposal that cut funding for health care.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but the guy did look poised in his first speech. I realize we added five tril to the fifteen tril we're down, but to make it sound like it's all on Barack is ridiculous.FullMetalWhackit wrote:Ryan is a good politician with real ideas who is actually has a plan, like it or not. This is a bad pick for Romney thoogh because of how the other side will be able to distort his policy proposals. A Paul Ryan look alike will be throwing grandma over the cliff on a loop on tv from now until the election.
Who would have been a good choice?RATTrules wrote:HORRIBLE choice.

There are no "good" republican choices, but Huntsman would have drawn more independants.FullMetalWhackit wrote:Who would have been a good choice?RATTrules wrote:HORRIBLE choice.
GOP pollsters overwhelmingly wanted Rubio. Like over 60%! Help Mitt expand his base and get some of the beaner vote!FullMetalWhackit wrote:Who would have been a good choice?RATTrules wrote:HORRIBLE choice.
You're not the only one! Even Jeb Bush and other Repukes have lamented the fact that the GOP has gone too far right!Stoner wrote:The fact that Mittens has once again chosen to bend to the will of the crazy ass far right (Tea Party) is going to drive the undecided Dems, neo-cons, and Independents back to the left, which is exactly what they needed.
I actually feel sorry for a lot of my Republican friends and what their party has become.
Hilarious pic dude!KneelandBobDylan wrote:RATTrules wrote:

Exactly.

Great! A left wing lunatic lamenting about how Ryan is a horrible choice.RATTrules wrote:HORRIBLE choice. This will likely seal a 2nd term for Obama.

Yes, I think Rubio would have been the best pick politically. Having watched enough of Ryan today, I think he will only help the ticket, despite the ads that are forthcoming against him.RATTrules wrote: GOP pollsters overwhelmingly wanted Rubio. Like over 60%! I saw a report yesterday pegging the Ryan pick. Something about Romneys jet being parked in Ryans hometown.RATTrules wrote: The Huffington Post actually said late last night that Portman was Romney's choice for VP!
Saw that today as well. Impressive, articulate without coming off as adversarial/ hateful. The debates should be interesting. Seems as if they will be for grown ups. About policy and proposals. And less about who killed whos wife. Which will be good for America. We candle handle the conversation.roxxxtar wrote:
That video is also called "Paul Ryan destroys Obamacare in 6 easy minutes".
Actually Ryan does come across as pretty hateful. With all the intolerance in the GOP that's not what they need. That's why so many Dems like this pick!FullMetalWhackit wrote:Saw that today as well. Is that a veiled Mitt Romney reference?johnk5150 wrote:I don't have a dog in this fight.FullMetalWhackit wrote:Ryan is a good politician with real ideas who is actually has a plan, like it or not. Talk about 2 swindlers that are doing all they can to fool
the American public
Beginning with how they each will only release 2 years of
tax records. B.S.
One of the 2 said if they are in the White House, the rich will pay
more taxes and the middle class will pay less taxes.
I guess these 2 have no shame with lying on National t.v.
Say whatever you can to get that vote Mitt.
But both sides continue to point fingers.brotherplanet wrote:Machado wrote:I saw their appearance on 60 minutes.

Nothing new here. Obama said he would close Gitmo. It's still alive and kicking. Obama spoke out against the Patriot Act then went ahead and extended it when he became President.
Neither side can afford to point fingers.
Exactly! It still stuns me how anyone can pick a side nowadays, and anyone who is picking a side doesn't seem to realize they're just a pawn in this game.Machado wrote:But both sides continue to point fingers.brotherplanet wrote:Machado wrote:I saw their appearance on 60 minutes.

That is the problem.
Same old crooks in the white house, just different names and faces.
