Ron Paul is not really a libertarian. He's a pro-life neo-confederate anti-Semite Bircher who subscribes to conspiracy theories.UncleMilton wrote:Ron Paul has started a major movement of people towards the libertarian movement.
They're not about "liberty and freedom." They're about getting rid of the laws that protect the environment, consumers and shareholders. They're also about giving state and local govt more power to push a far right Christian agenda. They call that "believing in state's rights." They also want to get rid of the Civil Rights laws that limit racial discrimination in the private sector. It's very easy to vote against them.UncleMilton wrote: Kind of hard not to vote for liberty and freedom once you study what they stand for.

The leaders of the libertarian movement primarily do stealth PR for corporate America. People like John Stossell, Peter Schiff, and Tom Woods convince dumb schmucks that it's patriotic to oppose the laws that keep them from getting ripped off.
