With all the polling info about to come out in the next few weeks here is an interesting look back from a study out of Fordham University at which polls were correct and which were not leading up to the 2008 election:

It says Pew Research was the most accurate and Gallup ranked #20 with Newsweek dead last. Turns out Gallup and Newsweek were more accurate than Pew Research. Gallup and Newsweek also predicted Obama's share of the popular vote more accurately than Rassmussen.

Percentage Obama 52.9% McCain 45.7%

Gallup Obama 53% McCain 40%
Newsweek Obama 53% McCain 40%

Rassmussen is not listed on that page but they had 52% Obama 46% McCain.

Currently Rassmussen shows Obama +3

Obama 48 Romney 45

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows President Obama attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns 45% of the vote. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

Rasmussen being most accurate.

no polls are accurate in this election..as soon as somebody says they like Romney people think your racist so i'm sure a lot people are telling the polls they are voting for Obama when they are really voting for Romney
