No matter how many lies were told at the Republican Convention, I'm sure both Romney and Ryan will repeat the same lies and think of new lies
to fool the public.

The party is so lost and clearly without a leader at this time, someone like Romney is the best they could do.
Given what the party trotted out about 4 years ago, I would say Romney is a very, very slight improvement over McCain and Palin

Romney and Ryan don't care about the poor or the middle class.
Both of them only care about the rich and mormons.

Romney is the wanna-be JFK of our era.
Romney is doing all he can to become the president so he can be the 1st mormon in office.
Much like JFK was the 1st Irish president in America

Problem is, Romney could not carry JFK's luggage.

Obama is gonna lost Virginia at the last minute, could cost him big.

Neil Newhouse, Mr. Romney’s pollster and the author of the memo released on Monday said, “Voters are on a Bill Clinton sugar high that’s simply not going to last — polls taken right now probably don’t reflect the reality of where this campaign actually is.”

Funny he should use Clinton in his analogy, since Clinton went on to be President.

It used to be that the Democratic Party was the glum party. In the 1970s and 1980s, Democratic party leaders often criticized the country relentlessly for its behavior at home and abroad, for its inequities and injustices. Think of civil rights and Vietnam. The Democrats, Jeane Kirkpatrick said at the 1984 Republican convention, always blame America first.

But today it is the Republican Party that often seems angry with America. Read the best-selling books by conservatives these days, watch Fox News or attend a Tea Party rally. They are filled with rage, often combined with a powerful nostalgia for an America that has gone away.

Those were extreme interpretations, at the best, the sort of games that have caused Fallows and others to suggest we have entered an era of “post-truth politics.” But Ryan has been particularly unwilling to concede an inch, even when presented directly with the truth.

This habit seemed particularly brazen in Ryan’s post-convention interview with Scott Pelley. The CBS anchor confronted the congressman on his claim that Obama was to blame for the nation’s credit downgrade. Pelley noted that S&P had leveled a good share of the responsibility at the Congress.

“I met with the team, I met with the Standard & Poors team. What they said is, if our Republican budget had passed it would have prevented the downgrade,” Ryan retorted. “They basically said because of the lack of leadership in Washington, political leadership, that is the downgrade.”

No one can know what the S&P analysts told the House Budget Committee chairman in private. But we do have a record of what they said publicly. Pelley offered “for the record” to read the agency’s opinion to Ryan. Part said: “We have changed our assumptions on this because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues. ”

Ryan pursed his lips a bit but wouldn’t be dissuaded. “I see it a different way,” he said. “That is not my understanding from talking to them.”

While they could have said one thing publicly and another thing privately it sure as shit doesn't make Ryan look good.
