"Wheels coming off" is the turn of phrase, you fucking idiot. It can be applied to anything that people perceive to be going poorly.

For example, if the Boston Red Sox are slumping, people might say "The wheels are coming off for the Red Sox Nation". If somebody said that on ESPN, it would be perfectly acceptable.

In this instance, "Ron Paul land" is a very clear way of referring to the Ron Paul campaign and circle of supporters. The original post suggested some things had gone badly and so somebody suggested the wheels were coming off in Ron Paul land. Now, you may disagree as to whether things are going badly, but don't debate that turn of phrase, because it is a perfectly acceptable, familiar usage to anybody with a basic grasp of conversational English.

Don't believe me...?

You see, I just knew you would try to Google it and present false results and that's EXACTLY what happened. I wasn't debating whether or not "The Wheels Coming Off" was in question. What IS in question is, "The Wheels Are Coming Off in (Ron Paul) Land.". And there are NO results showing otherwise. Nor have I EVER heard it used by ANYONE but DEATH ROW BLOW JOB.

ONE. MORE. TIME. FOR. THE. WORLD.:

"Wheels coming off in (Ron Paul) Land", is NOT a "common turn of phrase", a "metaphor" or an "idiom." Those things actually make sense. "The Wheels Are Coming Off in (Ron Paul) Land", doesn't. Get it? And stop taking the statement OUT OF CONTEXT.

Says the poster who can't construct a logical argument to back up what he believes if his life depended on it.
