"Mitt Romney has been getting lots of gratuitous advice from fellow Republicans worried about what they see as a presidential campaign slipping toward defeat. Some want Paul Ryan to play a more active role. Sarah Palin says the Romney campaign needs a ‘come to Jesus’ moment."

Palin wrote:"America desperately needs to have a 'come to Jesus' moment in discussing our big dysfunctional, disconnected, and debt-ridden federal government,"
That will work well after Ronney said cutting spending kills jobs and criticized Obama for cutting spending during the convention.
His trillion dollar cuts to our military will eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs and also put our security at greater risk.
His $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will hurt today's seniors and depress innovation in jobs and medicines.
Then he also said he needs to reduce taxes:
And fifth, we will champion small businesses, America's engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business
So he can promise a tax cut, promise to increase defense spending, promise to undo Obama's cuts to medicare and wrap it all up by promising to reduce the defict. Then he can conclude by reassuring the nation that he really, really cares about everyone, not just the 53% of households who pay income taxes.

Yes, because that worked so well for her.

Well McCain rose 8 points after he picked her.

Exactly. Had she been chosen and nominated three days before the election Mccain would have won. Doesnt work that way.

They had to ask her "gotcha" questions like "can you name a magazine?"

Her answer - "all of them...any and all of them" was a fucking Bullshit Hall Of Fame first ballot winner, no doubt.

Yep, when you can't stand up to the #1 bimbo in news (how the fuck did that vapid cunt land the first female anchor position?!) that shit is over before it begins.
I really wish Palin would do the party a favor and just go away. She and John are the best examples of the worst the Republican party has to offer.
I wish they would hit the reset button a little harder than they have, but leaving W out of the convention was a great start.
Come what may in November, the Republican party has a damn fine bench going forward. Rubio, Ryan and Pawlenty are strong conservative politicians that could really turn things around.
Honestly people, are you really looking at things right now thinking it's headed in the right direction?

Ryan is done. Once you lose as VP you never have another shot. Pawlenty had a chance this year and went nowhere. He left Romney's campaign to lobby for Wall Street. He's done as well. Rubio is a chubby kid who mindlessly parrots Luntz talking points. He has no chance of getting the nomination. The Republican bench sucks. Half the big names still are walking around with the stench from the Bush years. That will still be there by 2016, 2020 and probably 2024.
The GOP will move away from the idiotic tea baggers after Romney loses in November. Whoever runs in 2016 wont' have to say they are "severely conservative." It will probably be someone who is not on the radar now. Jindal, Christie and Santorum have no chance. They're losers.

No jobs added to the private sector from Jan 1999 to Jan 2010. 4.6 million added since Jan 2010. So yes,
honestly things are headed in the right direction.
Private sector employment:
http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0500000001
Jan 1999: 107.402 million
Jan 2010: 106.800 million== 602,000 jobs lost over 11 years
Aug 2012: 111.400 million= 4.6 million added over 2.5years

Just a correction, Katie Couric wasn't the first female anchor.....that would be Barbara Walters, in the '70's.

She co-anchored though, right? Making Couric the first true solo anchor. I just remember it being a big deal at the time and feeling like the ladies got a pretty hollow victory with her being named.

If Obama were to win in 2012, Ryan would be the front runner for the nomination in 2016. Not the runner up (Rick Santorum) from the primary as has been the case.
And Pawlenty? That guy has less charisma than Bob Dole.
