i actually am pretty saddened that the president went on an apology tour the first year.who cares if other countries think we're lazy, arrogant whatnot, thanks for showing confidence in america, obama. even ted kennedy said, 'i'd never talk bad about america while visiting other countries.'
but, to answer your question, no, i'm not for war, i have no idea what obama's narrative is. but, things are getting rough over in the middle east, wouldn't you agree?

i would say military spending shouldn't be cut back. quite a bit is for security.
also,we'll have a lot of unemployed troops. they're be the first to go.( i won't even mention their benefits, those have long gone...)

i should hope so on the economy. but, there's been a bit of uprising in the middle east, and other places, in which, i'm not sure. i'm also not sure on obama's capability, either.

I can't decipher what you said there. Quite a few economists have said that he can't do what he says he is going to do. NOT raise taxes, increase defense spending, clos loopholes (but he won't say which ones), and salvage medicare, etc just doesn't equate with reducing the deficit. Unfortunately just getting rid of PBS and Big Bird are not going to really do much.

Just because he was respectful and agreed to work with other nations instead of the "you are either with us or against us" bullshit mindset of George W, does not mean he apologized. Our military budget is so over inflated it is ridiculous. We have planes (excuse me, jets, the F-22) that we paid 143 million dollars a piece for that have NEVER flown a combat mission despite our involvement in 2 wars and the military action in Libya. Talk about waste. One of those planes could allow Big Bird to stay on Sesame Street for years. And while the air force hasn't bought any new ones since 2009 we still pay millions for their upkeep. That is money that could be spent directly on the wounded and disabled troops who are coming home.

NO news source should be leaning in one direction. It is fine to have op-ed pieces but when a network strays to far to a side they are not influencing the news and NOT just reporting it. And yes, MSNBC does it as well

i wasn't happy about the last term, so i'm voting someone else in. if that doesn't go well, i'll vote for someone else.

Actually I am undecided. I haven't seen or heard anything that has made me lean one way or another as far as my voting in November. I vote for a person, not a party and right now you might have to include me in the 80-90 million who may not vote at all, but it's 63 days away, so who knows...

As for the 3 threads, I am generally curious as to other's stand on the election and how they feel and what their views are concerning the party in question and their candidate.. Nothing more.

Conservatives ARE trying very are to take away abortion rights. They are doing it by introducing legislation that are forcing abortion clinics to close, making them harder to obtain and even worse continuing to try to pass "Personhood Bills". Do you realize how dangerous those Personhood Bills are? By affording full rights to a fertilized egg it would make it illegal to treat a woman for an ectopic pregnancy. And that is just one example of the problem with those bills. But conservative cont to try to get them passed. It has even happened in my state. THAT is what scares me about it. NOT who is going to pay for it.

Those sites are nonpartisan. They skewer Obama and other Democrats when they lie/ or mislead. You really should check them out. The call EVERYONE on their bullshit. They give you a way to sort through the crap the politicians sell you so you can make an INFORMED choice.

the republicans have submitted proposals for healthcare and the budget. obama even feigned a personal meeting with republicans that was a walkway with no agreements. are you saying they proposed no good ideas or they just flat out refused to work w/ obama?

The republicans said from day one their number one goal was to make Obama a one term president. Since that was their "number one goal" and not the country and it's welfare. I am skeptical of anything they have done or proposed as being for the good of this country.

as much as i'd like to go through all his first year tour giving you time points of his speeches, i doubt you'd see it the way i do.

Actually, PBS could NOT buy 3.1 of those planes. The budget for Corporation for Public Broadcasting which includes PBS and NPR is about 440 million a year. It is divided between those two. PBS gets about 220 million. Which is THEN divided between PBS and all the affiliates. After all is said and done. PBS get about 77 million from the federal govt. The smaller stations in the more rural markets, however rely on that money to stay on the air.

And I meant the jet hasn't seen any combat AT ALL. Nada. Zip. Zilch Zero. 143 million dollars times however many of the fuckers we bought just hanging out doing fly overs at NASCAR races looking cool.

i don't see how fox is not reporting news. they report all sorts of news. they have a liberal and republican to site their own views as guests to spar and the host is cordial about it. there's even a ticker that crawls with news. unlike msnbc, they're now falling into an op-ed show with nothing but the hosts view, and a ticker that only shows favorable tweets.
abc, nbc, cbs only have a half hour show on world news so they're only directing one view, theirs. eh, i mean their producer.
